So I got the newest Disney Insider email tonight and it said you could do a week long package for a family of 4 for only $1600.00

Me, DH, and DS (8) are going to PC from May 7-18. We are doing park hopper, water park passes and the basic dining plan. We are paying 3355.92 (I am hoping for a code), so for the heck of it I tried to see how much the same package would be and it said 3704 and some change. I am already booked thank goodness but just the other day the pricing was the same. In the last week or so it sky rocketed.

Has anyone else tried to price their package and seen an increase? Do they hike prices right before a code comes out? (I booked without a code).

 and ideas?

I would say the different pricing is under a different package, or something is different, whether it be different tickets, insurance, etc.

Remember to ALWAYS compare apples to apples.

The 6 night 7 day package is FROM $1600 - during Value season.

I just plugged it in to Disney's online booking - 2 adults, 2 kids (aged 3-9) 6 nights, 7 days at All Star Sports in a Standard Room (Aug. 17-23/08) base tickets (no hopper, no water parks, etc.) no dining, no airfare.

It came out to $1414.70

Actually, I'm a little surprised about that, it's actually lower.

Just ,messing around with it... you can do it for about $1600 with a 7 Day Park Hopper ticket package.

You're in a higher rate season (Regular Season), staying for five more nights, WITH water park option AND dining. Your price sounds about right for 2008 rack rates.

That ad, just like the previous poster said, has the key word FROM in it. That is a value resort during value season.

Any resort difference or resort season will increase your price.
