Rashes...update

I went to the Dr this morning and he said I have 'an accute' allergy to 'something??? Prescribed a strong cortisone ointment as well as anti-histamines 3x daily. Meanwhile, I bought some Ivory Snow detergent in case I have suddenly developed an allergy to the Tide that I have always used and beyond, that..I can think of nothing else to alleviate as there's been no new food, body lotions, anything...so I guess I wait and see. I just hope it is under control when I head to WDW next week!! This would not be fun!!

I understand that some posters were offended by my use of a slang word in my original thread. To those I offended, I am sorry. I meant it only in a silly term of referral to a body part.

I guess I cannot be playful around here!

I did think it might have sounded like a yeast-rash.
That would have been MUCH easier to deal with than allergies!!!

I thought of a yeast rash too...but he made no mention of that?? I am seeing my own Family Dr tomorrow as well, so we'll see what she says..

If it were not so hot outdoors it wouldn't be so umpleasant. Oh well,c'est la vie!

I'm happy it's not Shingles too...I was thinking after the itching the pain would begin! The pills are helping the itch..except now I just want to go to sleep!

Glad you got it checked out. Food allergies are strange. When I was in the 10th grade I all of a sudden was allergic to strawberries. Broke out in a rash. Can't remember how they know it was strawberries though. I have a nephew who all of a sudden it was ketchup. Good Luck in finding what it is, hope you are better for your trip. You must be going crazy with this hot , humid weather and itching.

I'm allergic to scented things, but it doesnt' do what you discribed. but if you wear perfume or body spray, try laying off of it until this clears up. it might irritate your skin.

(scents on me cause a rash that spreads across my stomach, arms and legs but not hands, feet or face. its redish but it doesnt' itch and the patches are circular)
