Is that what they are called? We will be there June this year and think it may be a good idea to go with this suit that has SPF built in, along with sunscreen of course!
Has anyone tried them and do you have recommendations?

I get DS a rash guard shirt and separately purchase his trunks. I believe One Step Ahead and Lands End have sets but any rash guard you get (Old Navy, etc.) will have SPF built in.

We like the Roxy rash guards, Macy's usually has them on clearance at the end of the seaseon.

I don't know how old your kids are, but last year we found them at Target. We got one for the baby just so I didn't have to worry as much about sunscreen. They also had them for men there too.

I have bought both kinds one piece and just the top.

I have found them at Superstore, Zellers and Liquidation World. They make the one piece in the smaller sizes.

My kids are big fan of rashguards! I buy 4-5 per season. Land's End makes the best quality ones. Depending on the size and color you need, check out their overstock section. Sometimes they are cheap --- $9.99.

I usually buy my daughter a rashguard set at Gymboree and Target. I just purchased some for the boys for this year's vacation at Old Navy and Target.

Got some at Target last year and they worked just as well as the LE's ones!

Disney Stores even sell Disney ones.

Great things about these shirts:
1)You don't have to put sunscreen on the largest part of their bodies and they are protected from the sun. Added bonus: save money on sunscreen :)!
2) They dry quickly so wearing one to a park with wet rides means you're dry in no time and the child doesn't feel as cold as he would with a wet t-shirt.

We LOVE rashguards!!!!! I bought one for each of us (me, DS and DH) for our cruise last year. DS has fair skin, and I burn like a lobster, so these are very good for us.

I have found rashguards for kids at several places, including Target, but I really like the ones from Lands End, and they have adult sizes also. Get on their email list - they have been sending out lots of promotions.

GREAT information- thanks everybody! It sounds like it will not be expensive or a problem to find. :thumbsup2

I just bought my 5 yr old one at Childrens Place, my 11 year old one at Speedo, and my 1 yr olds I got at Target. They have some really really cute ones this season!

I get them for my sons at Gymboree. I like everything to match and they have cute coordinating stuff. I can't remember the SPF that they are, I think it may be 30.

I got one for my unborn daughter at Baby Gap it is so adorable and the only store that I could find it in a 0-3 month which is what she will be in the summer. :lovestruc :goodvibes

I dont know why they dont make more kinds in 0-3 mon esp since you arent supposed to put sunscreen on a child that young but oh well I found one.

Anyone see any more of these on clearance anywhere? We go through them like crazy, but as my girls get older, I'm having a harder time finding bigger ones. I hate paying $25 a piece if I don't have to...

If Lands End doesn't have any now, sign up for their emails. "in season", I got a note from them I swear almost every other day for 25-30% off and free shipping. I got DH and I ones there too. Great to have!
