Does any one have any ideas why I break out in hives every time we visit Disney? We thought maybe it was a laundry issue and specifically requested allergy free linen this time. Here we are 3 nights into our 7 night stay and I have a mess of itchy hives all over my arms and neck. I bought Benadryl to use at night but if like to avoid the hives if I can figure out the cause. Any ideas?

I think in ur case I'd have brought my Own linens and put Do not disturb on my door with no one touching my bed/room.
Hives on the outside don't tell you what's happening on the INside, scary.
Sorry to hear ur hived out again, odd.

Is it really Every time? How many times?
Hope ur better soon! Curious Why it's happening.

Does it happen at other places / other times?
Is it every day at Disney or only some?
Is it a problem usually to sleep in other sheets (i.e. visiting friends or other hotels)?
Is it certain times of day?
Do you take other meds? Have other dx?

urticaria can occur for many reasons. From contact allergy, to food allergy, even stress.
Prickly heat is also similar?

My son got a rash on his arms and legs. When we took him to CentraCare they told us that it was a "sun rash" from higher than normal exposure to the sun and heat. It only occurred on the skin that was not covered by clothing.

It starts as a few hives then seems worse each morning usually by the second or third day it's starting.

I've had problems with certain detergents before at home but we are a large family that doesn't vacation but to Disney and grandma's (she uses the same detergent I do). So that would be hard to tell.

I'm not on any meds.

It could be stress because let's face it even though we live Disney a family of 7 on vacation is stressful. It just seems odd to only be where my pjs don't cover.

Bring you own linens. Not all detergents are the same. My nephew was allergic to a lot of detergents as a young kid. My sister used all free and clear then one day tide free and clear was on sale cheaper. She got that. He broke out. She had to rehash everything in all. Linens (sheets pillowcases I would leave blankets home) take up relatively little room and may help

If you do decide to travel with sheets, label them as your own, and remove them from the bed each morning. Also, you'd just need one pillowcase and one king sized flat sheet. Fold the flat sheet in half and use it like a sleeping bag.
