Rare Characters You've met!

Meeting characters is a highlight of my time at Disney. Most of the characters I've met were just general everyday characters (some included Not-So-Scary characters too).

I was wondering if anyone met any rare characters at Disney World and if they'd share their experience here.

We met Suzy and Perla last year, they were out randomly instead of the Tremaine sisters, so we met them.

I've only recently discovered that "rare" characters come out at all, so I haven't met any truly rare ones. I met Meeko years ago at a dining experience (can't even remember which park, this was in 1998) but he wasn't rare at the time. Some of the Halloween party characters (Jafar, Jack Sparrow). Nothing too crazy. Hoping to catch Characterpalooza on this trip. *fingers crossed*

Not really a rare character, but a rare experience.
When I was around 5 or 6 I dressed up like Snow White and while I was in MK Snow White actually came up behind me and covered my eyes and said "guess who!" and asked to take pictures with me and I got her autograph and everything. That was such a special moment for me and something I'll always remember.

In 2007 we got to meet Scrooge McDuck.

I have some photos of the kids meeting characters in the lobby of the Wilderness Lodge in 2002, and I did not recognize them at all. How's that for rare?

This was post-911, and WDW was doing a "Character Caravan" instead of EMH at the time. Needless to say that didn't last. The characters were likely either from Pinocchio or Robin Hood and were some kind of canine. (Dogs, foxes, wolves, IDK)

I met Jiminy Cricket one time. I saw him in a planning video and went on a quest to meet him. It took several years to find him, but when I did at a MK meet and greet on Main Street, I was thrilled! Jiminy is so flipping cute! Just adorable.

Out of 45+ years of visiting the parks, I got to see Thumper on my last visit to WDW. I'd never seen him before.

I met Bolt and Sebastian at a dance party in HS once. It was pretty awesome to see them out.

I met the Sheriff of Nottingham when I was little.... I have a photo! I also seem to recall Prince John/Sir Hiss?

The Cinderella mice, do they come out anymore? That's Pearl and Suzy right?

Roger Rabbit, I had that framed photo in my bedroom for years.

Is the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland considered rare? I've heard conflicting viewpoints on that. LOL Anyway. My first trip to WDW in 2010, we turned a corner and he was just standing there. Tucked away by a construction wall. Absolutely nobody around. I think he was actually the very first character we saw!

I met Goofy's son's girlfriend Roxanne at MK when i was 5. went up to her and asked who she was since i didn't recognize her lol. i would die and go to heaven if i met Hades, has anyone seen him lately?

We got to meet Rabbit (instead of Piglet) at Crystal Palace last year. First time that had happened for us.

I met Goofy's son's girlfriend Mona at MK when i was 5. went up to her and asked who she was since i didn't recognize her lol. i would die and go to heaven if i met Hades, has anyone seen him lately?

Wait, wait, wait...I had to look up this character, and I'm now finding out that it didn't work out with Max and Roxanne and he met this new girl in college? My beloved "A Goofy Movie" can't possible turn out like that! Mona was only ever in one thing (Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas). This also makes me wonder, why does Max Goof age while others don't? Hmmmm.

Is Jane form Tarzan rare? Or Captain Hook? If so, then yes. (Could someone actually tell me if they are rare or not?)

On a trip in 2011 they got to ride the tea cups with Alice and the White Rabbit. Don't know where those pictures are, but did find one of them posing together.

These seemed rare to us, but earlier this year we met Mr. Smee, Captain Hook, Gideon and Br'er Bear in Epcot between Canada and England.

I haven't met anyone that was rare at the time, but have met plenty who no longer meet and would be considered rare if they were out today. Examples: Quasimodo and Esmerelda, Remy, Terk, Pinocchio, Gepetto and so on. You never know who will stick around long term and who won't.

Just did some research, sorry it was Roxanne! don't know how i remembered Mona but not Roxanne.

But still...Mona is the one in that movie. Max meets her after Roxanne. It's no happily ever after for those two...and after Max went to all the trouble to get on stage with Powerline! It just doesn't seem right.

I have never seen that Christmas movie with Mona, but I LOVE A Goofy Movie. It's like, the Citizen Kane of movies! I said that once to Goofy at Tusker House and he and his handler got a kick out of it.
