Rare character sightings!

OMG someone saw the penguins from Mary Poppins guys!!!!! And a slew of other rare characters. Yes, yes this is a micechat article/photo update but I'm posting this solely for the picture fun. If you scroll down you'll see the penguins (2!!! Yes, I have a penguin problem...) Friar Tuck, Baloo and 4 other classic bears who I think are part of the Country Bears.

We did catch one of Mary's penguins at the Plaza Inn last October. I might have been a little more excited about that than was reasonable.

We saw Bert with the penguin when we were there last month! I didn't realize at the time how rare the Penguins were - I was just ridiculously excited to finally meet Bert! I could barely get complete sentences out!

That's awesome! We met them with Mary a number of years ago at Characterpalooza at DHS after I stalked them all over the Disboards before that trip. Since then though I put together a nice photo autograph book and have been looking to have them sign that for us. I was so happy to find them last year and fill in that spot! I always prefer the outdoor shots more though and would love to find them like you did. That's a great photo!

EDIT: These sightings of mine were in WDW, not Disneyland. I just found this thread through a search without realizing the forum it was in. My apologies!

I have a story about the penguin(s) - hadn't realized there could be as many as 3 at once though! That's amazing.

Anyway, on the first trip to WDW I took with my wife in 2008, (I proposed on this particular trip) the first thing we saw on day 1 when we entered Epcot from the back entrance was Mary Poppins with a penguin. We got right in line, but before we got to the front, they announced that the Penguin had to leave. We were left with just Mary.

We became avid character hunters, and the more time passed, the more we really regretted missing that penguin!

6 years and 5 trips later, in 2014, we finally spotted the penguin again! We had reservations at Sci-Fi in HS and we were rushing over, when there they were! It was worth risking being late for food to get a picture! There was a short line, so it all worked out. We weren't late afterall.
