Rapunzel dress help

My husband and I are taking our 3yr dd on a disney cruise this november and I'm trying get get my daughter a Rapunzel costume. I don't like the new Disney store version and have been looking on ebay for one I like better. I found a Disney parks one at a good price, less than what I would pay on the ship but am having trouble deciding on size. She falls at the far end of xxs 2/3 sizing chart. I'm not sure if I should get the xxs or size up and go for the xs 4/5. Our daughter is 38in and 30.5lb. She's pretty thin. I''m wondering if anyone has any experience on the sizing of this dress. Does it run big or small? My mother previously bought her a xs princess Aurora dress from WDW and it fits her pretty big in the chest/shoulder area. Would the Rapunzel be comparable to this?

Zulily has several really pretty Rapunzel dresses today.

I saw those dresses on zulily and though they are beautiful I'm afraid they might be too fussy for my little girl who likes to run around outside with her princess dresses. Plus I always hate ordering a brand that I don't have any experience with from zulily since they don't do returns. Thanks though.

And I realized after posting that you were really just asking about sizing. Sorry. I would honestly go with the larger size because I've always found that Disney costumes run small. Could you possibly tack it with a few hand stitches at the back and shoulders if it's too-too big? Also she's nearly getting to the "play dress-up" age and my Izzy always liked to put her dress-up clothes over regular clothes so bigger was better.
