If times guide says Rapunzel from 11am - 5pm does that mean she is there the whole time? If not how do you know when to line up? And when is the best time to go.....morning, afternoon?

What about PFF?

TIA!

I believe Rapunzel takes breaks, but the line just stands still during her break times. You may want to get there before the meet-and-greet opens. I'm not certain if the line itself stays open until 5 or if they close the line before then.

For the Fantasy Faire, you probably want to be in line before it opens...but the old Fantasy Faire is going away in just a couple weeks. You will be able to meet the princesses in a new dedicated area by It's a Small World, but since it hasn't opened, I'm not sure anyone knows how that will work, exactly. Probably very similar to the old one, but I don't know. :confused3

We have had shorter wait times with this plan:
Rapunzel: line up 15 min before opening (if the line looks like 10+ families at that point, we just skip it.)
PFF:
AM--line up 45 min before opening. It's a long wait, but usually we're one of the first 3 families in line, we get muffins and coffee from the stand that's right there, and the kids can run around instead of being stuck in the regular line. If you wait til 30 min before, the line is often out to Small World.
Late afternoon: we always check out the line close to PFF closing time if we're in the area and have practically walked in a couple times. The downside is that by then your princess is completely disheveled :) Potential solutions are to fix her up after nap/swim time before a late afternoon visit to PFF, or schedule a later appt to BBB (or just don't worry about the photos and let her enjoy talking with the princesses instead of posing.)

Just make sure you wait in line in the RIGHT PLACE if you go early! DH was in line almost an hour before PFF opened last year, but standing near the entrance to the theater section of PFF, not the "back" area where the meet and greet takes place. 2 families lined up behind him in the wrong spot, but 2 other families "snuck" around to the back to the correct entrance of the M&G and then insisted they were first in line. DH didn't realize the first family in line gets to walk the princesses back and the CM opening the line looked like a deer in headlights, so DH just let the other families who arrived a good 30 minutes after him go first.

For anyone that has gone recently.....how long is the wait for Rapunzel? Is it still close to an hour if you get there right before they open? If I get there an hour after opening how long might I wait? I was hoping wait times would be less now that everyone is going to DCA more

I had my husband get in line 30 minutes before opening, and we still had to wait 30 minutes for our turn. On the plus side, we got to see Flynn too. PS - Ask him what is in his satchel ;)

I know there's no guarantee, but, would you say it's fairly common for Flynn to be out with her at the beginning of the day?

I'm not sure I'm understanding. So you wait in line to get into the park and head straight to where the princesses are to make sure you get an autograph? Are they all in one spot where you get them all at once?

They usually are 3 princesses at the same time. So you should be able to have pictures and autographs of 3 different characters.

Is Flynn ryder normally out with rapunzel? We saw them together at DL just before Tangled came out, kinda waited in a line not knowing what it was for! Very pleased when it turned out to be them! Lol. At DW we waited early in the morning for about two hours, and it was just her.

At Disney World, Flynn is now a ''special event character''.

At Disneyland, I believe he goes out more often, even on regular days. I could be wrong, but I don't think he's with Rapunzel every day though.

You can always ask someone at Guest Relations upon coming in the park to know if he'll be out that day!

Thank you all for this information! It's mind boggling! I'm curious how people organize this information. I just started a new document in Word that is titled, "Princess Tips" (I also have "Dining", "Bibbity Boppity Boutique" as well as others. How do you organize your info? I'm also trying to figure out how many days we will need to just do the early stuff if we want to do Carsland twice, the classic rides twice, family pics in front of the castle and Princess meet and greets!

PFF is closing August 12th and all I have seen is a statement from DL to look for your favorite princesses along "the path" to it's a small world whatever that means. I don't know whether that means you will still get 3 with one line or whether each will have a separate line. Another place the Princesses show up quite a bit is around the castle paths. We've run across them there about every afternoon and usually without much of a line. We saw Aurora, Cinderella and Snow White there in June. Rapunzel's line was still horrible in June (the week before Carsland opened). We checked about 30 minutes before the meet and greet was to start and the line was already at least half an hour long (meaning the total wait time would have been at least an hour). We never saw it below an hour the times we walked by it that week. I'd say if she is a must then go ahead and jump in line about half an hour before the meet and greet or a little earlier. DD(6) decided the line wasn't worth it this year because we did it last summer and it was a much more rushed meet and greet than we experienced with Rapunzel at WDW. With the Princess meet and greets up in the air right now, you might think about booking a meal at Ariel's. That would let you meet 5 princesses easily.
