We have a RR account. But, trying to accumulate points. This trip we will pay rather than using points. When booking airfare, is it best to log into your RR account and book or use the general website and add your RR numbers to flight info?

You can just log into one. When you book for your DH you can input his RR number and he'll get the credit that way.
