Is the Rapid Fill Mug that comes with the DDP automatically activated to length of stay (14 days) or is it set to the actual length of your stay?

We are stayig four days on a split reservation and only have DDP for the one night we are at BLT. Will the mug only be good for one day, or will it work after we move over to VWL?

I'm worried that if I activate it when we arrive late afternoon (like if we eat at Captain Cooks for dinner) that it won't work on the check out morning for our breakfast or lunch before hitting the road. I've read that it is like the opposite of valet parking, i.e.. if I activate it on Friday night at check in and we're checking out on Monday it's deactivated on Sunday night. :(

RR mugs are indeed based on a calendar day. The "day" ends at midnight. Activate a one-day mug @ 9pm, and goes pumpkin @ midnight.

I don't know, but maybe on a one night DP, the mug is really a 2-day mug (and for that matter, for any DP, it's really based on actual days, not nights.

Not sure because I had a split stay in December but the first part was on the dining plan and the second part was not. The mug that I received for the dining plan was 14 days.- I was only on the dining plan for 7 days.

When you receive your mug for the dining plan it will tell you at the fountain how long it is good for. I would go ahead and activate it with the dining plan because I am not sure you will be able to once you are off the plan because it is a part of your package, not the room only and the package components expire at midnight your check out day.

The mug is not tied to your reservation in any way -- it has it's own RFID chip, hence the huge price increase. And length of stay is actually 14 days, no matter how long you're staying.

Thanks redrosesix. That's what I was hoping. I will be arriving late at the resort on the first night and at DHS all day the next day before heading to check in at VWL. If the mugs we received were 1-day mugs, I would have no use for the mug, except a morning fill-up before heading to the park.

But, if it is indeed a length of stay mug (14 days) then that makes the DDP a better value for us.

I can confirm this. We just got back yesterday from a 6 night stay. We arrived 2/22 and started using our mugs that night. Every time we refilled them it said they were refillable through 3/8 so yes, it's for 14 days automatically.

I couldn't figure it out. We checked in on 1/25 and out on 1/31. Two mugs were good through 2/8 and the other was good through 2/22.

thanks y'all for clearing this up, so it's not going to cut off at midnight the night before you check out, right?
