Ugh! I placed an order with Brookstone earlier this month for two items that I had planned to give to my sister and my boyfriend. I ordered before the "delivery by Christmas" date so I thought I was safe. Well, nothing has been delivered to my house :( I'm so disappointed. When I talked to CS earlier in the week, they basically said there was nothing they could do. I thought a small shipping credit would have been a nice gesture (I would have settled for an apology) but I got nothing except a "maybe they'll arrive next week". Good thing these weren't presents for children :rolleyes: ... I suppose that's the last time I order stuff from them.

Ooh, I'm sorry. That stinks. Maybe they'll arrive today. Do you have any sort of tracking number to find out where they are?
 
A few years back I had a similar problem with Williams-Sonoma. Customer Service was not helpful at all. I did get my order a few days after Christmas but it was too late! About a month later, I got a nice letter from CS apologizing for their mistake and a 25% off coupon for a future order.

I would suggest writing a letter to Brookstone and let them know how displeased you are with their service. The least they could do is credit your shipping since you placed your order by the suggested date.

No, we don't get mail on Saturdays :(

I feel your pain. I ordered a t-shirt for my son from a company called MusicToday in Virginia. I ordered the darned thing over five weeks ago and I still don't have it. I called Wednesday and she said "Oh it's being processed for mailing now." She said "Why don't you call me on Monday". Hello? Christmas is Sunday, I don't care on Monday! Very annoying. It's not a big deal, of course, but who thought it would take five weeks to receive a $10 t-shirt. :rolleyes2

It makes you wonder ... maybe they making the shirt for you by hand :rolleyes: :rotfl:

I guess I know why people do their Christmas shopping in September now :rotfl:
 
I also feel your pain. I bought my husband a plasma tv from Big on Digital. I bought it Dec 12th and it has not shipped yet. They promised to check into it with Panasonic and email me with an update. No update. I am caught between wrapping my husbands TV stand that goes with it and saying it is on the way or just forgetting about the whole thing and cancelling the order. The whole thing has put a damper on my Christmas thats for sure. But like you said at least it is not stuff for kids. I managed to get all my presents I ordered online for my kids and thats the most important thing.
