Rant! Host games

OK this happened to me today, and I know for a fact it happens to other players. We get in line for the host games at like 800 people, right. We wait and pass the time by doing other things. We get so close to entering, and when it allows us to enter, it says the area can't be found on the map. Why can't they send a message to us poor innocent people on line saying that the game is closed and that we have to exit out of the queue. Because they don't a lot of us realize it was all that waiting for nothing I think staff should fix this. What does anyone else think?

I had that happen to me when they first introduced the VMK Pass. Didn't realized that being in the queue didn't guarantee entry into the host room. Now I just take a look at the times on the community calendar and decide if I have a chance to get in still.

I normally do that, but if it looks like it could be close, I make sure I'm witing in the line and not just with a VMK Pass. Then I have a better chance to get in the room. Sometimes the hosts will leave a winning teleporter out at near the ending time so that while I might not get to play the game, I have a chance at a prize.

Yes. I had that happen shortly after the pass started.

I just know by now that once the end of the event comes and I'm not in to just exit out of the queue.

They generally state anymore that the game will end on time. That means if you haven't gotten in and finished, you won't.

So just take note of the time and exit out of the queue once it's over.

yup happened to me too, Today actually when i was waiting in line for the host game at like 1 i was 200 something in line waiting forever until finally Cat told me the host game was closed

when it does that it means that the host has closed the room and left

I agree Shell! I think if the room is closed it should give a pop-up that your pass is being cancelled due to room no longer available. Maybe this would only work for host rooms, I don't know, but it seems the right thing to do so those who don't realize the timing/closing (ie, younger kids, new players) aren't watching the pass line thinking they will still get in.
