I spoke to Randy and he is available for our date! I have the contract but before i sign and send them back to him I wanted to get some opinions. His prices are wonderful and He seemed very nice in his emails. Just wanted to confirm with my DIS brides that he is a good choice.

For those of you that have used him what did you like about him?
What didn't you like about him?
Did you make him a list of certain shots you wanted or did he have good ideas? How long did it take for you to get your photos?

Any other information you think i should know would be greatly appreciated... I just have this problem where when i see something that i like I tend to jump into it... sometimes i'm too impulsive i think. Which probably explains why i'm trying to get a deposit back from another reception venue....

I couldn't believe his prices! I showed DF his wesbite and everything and the first thing he said to me was "can we even afford him?"

There are a lot of AMAZING photographers out there, so be sure you really search around before deciding on someone.

I did extensive research before we chose Randy. That was one of the best decisions I made. I loved his work, he was funny, helpful (helped DH with his tie and cuff links, helped my daughter in lacing my dress), he knows the routine and can coordinate your wedding without the WC that day if needed !! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Randy. It took 3 or 4 weeks to get our proofs, but it was in the summer and a very busy time. I had spoken with him ahead of time and corresponded via email as well. I sent him some photos that I liked so I wouldn't forget what shots I wanted on that day. He is just GREAT !!

We LOVED Randy, and I am extremely picky... photography was the one thing I was truly concerned about regarding our wedding, and Randy didn't let us down! I cannot think of one thing we didn't like about Randy, he knows the ins and outs of a Disney wedding for sure. I didn't ask for any specific shots, I told him just to do his thing...and we were very pleased with the results!

These two ladies are another reason we picked Randy! I have NEVER heard anyone disapointed with his work. There are other photographers we considered but I felt confident that without even meeting him we would have beautiful wedding pictures!

I was extremely happy with our decision to have Randy as our photographer, he does amazing work.

In regards to your questions, I had made a list of shots I wanted, but forgot it the day of the wedding. He asked me specifics that I wanted that morning, so I just gave him a basic rundown and he followed it perfectly (I wanted detail shots of things and I said to make sure to even get pictures of the food ).

You won't be disappointed with Randy, he was one of the best decisions we made in planning our wedding.

Jack Loves Sally, I looked at your pictures (sorry i stalked you) and they're amazing!!! Did you edit them that way or did Randy do that? I know that misty (who i CAN'T afford) does alot of pretty editing but does Randy?

Randy edited about 30 of our pictures in Photoshop with special effects. He then took over 200 and made them in black & white and another 200 in sepia tones.

Not to hijack your thread..... but how is Randy to actually work with? Does he give good direction on how to stand, etc. I was married before and the photographer was literally yelling at all of us. Not that I have heard anything like that about any of the photographers mentioned here but I am sensitive about this issue now.

We used Randy for our VR as well and it was the probably one of the best decisiosn we made. My DH does not smile for pictures--ever--and yet Randy got several of him with a smile on his face.

He was very easy to work with for both our engagement shots and our wedding pictures. He was always giving tips on how to stand and would move my train, etc. I was using a wheelchair to get around at our engagement shoot because I was recovering from a car accident and he even helped DH carrying around our bags of things since DH was pushing me in the chair. He's not afraid to say if he needs you to move, etc. but is not intrusive or in your face. I have never heard him even raise his voice. He is just a really nice guy.

We chose Randy because of his creativity. He is awesome he gets alot of shots which is amazing since he is the only one shooting. My husband isn't a big smiler and Randy got some of the most amazing shots of him.

We love all of our shots and are deciding what we can have Randy take photos for us again. All of our guests commented on how friendly he was and how many places he kept appearing in. I can't say anything bad about Randy at all. Linda was great about contacting me to get me my photos. They are a great team.

Most all of the pictures are Randy's editing, he edited about 30 pics of ours in photoshop with some amazing effects. I have a background in photography and graphic design, so I did do some minor editing on some of the pics in iPhoto and photoshop myself as well, but you will get beautiful and unique shots with Randy. As for working with him...he's so laid back and kind, my DH hates getting pictures taken, and he loved Randy, so that's saying something!

Randy is one of the nicest people...and he's a good listener. We were very specific with our requests and he made sure to give us what we wanted.

I cannot tell you how wonderful it is to have a photographer who actually listens and caters to your requests...you'll love your pics!

BE CAREFUL!! I am currently going through the same thing with Randy about trying to get a deposit back. We gave them OVER a years notice from our wedding date that we could no longer have our disney wedding and that was over six months ago. They still will not give our deposit back, when they said they always gave deposits back at the time that we booked with them. I guess they said that to get us to book. I am extremely disappointed and saddened as I thought that they were very nice and willing to help. Now we are being punished for wanting so badly to be able to use him. So please just make sure you are willing to lose a deposit if you book with them and something happens. HTH

We gave them OVER a years notice from our wedding date that we could no longer have our disney wedding and that was over six months ago. They still will not give our deposit back, when they said they always gave deposits back at the time that we booked with them. I guess they said that to get us to book. Hi fellow Disney brides! I just want to say that Randy DOES give your deposit back! His deposits are refundable UNLESS someone used this deposit for a photoshoot prior to the wedding! Of course, this is understandable for obvious reasons. I'm not sure what happened with DisneyBride2009, but I just emailed Randy about this question and he emailed me back clearly stating that the deposits are refundable!! Anyhow, I'm planning on using Randy as my photographer for my upcoming Disney wedding and after all the wonderful things I've heard, as well as seeing the beautiful work he has done in capturing this very special moment in time, I'm extremely excited!!
