randy chapman - honeymoon package

Hi

I have just booked Randy Chapman as our photographer, however in place on the photographer that disney provide for the ceremony we are going to have the honeymoon package at the MK. I have been told that we only get 2, 5 x 7 prints, I thought we got 20. Does anybody know if this is correct as disney e-mailed me and said we only get 2 prints.

I got an email from Rosie that said we get 12 4X6, I emailed her back, and she said that it was supposed to be 20 4X6

It would never be 2 prints, that would be pointless, I was advised by Tanis that we would get 20 prints.

i can answer this, we just got our book yesterday from ups! they send you 20 pictures (4 by 6) in a book, and then they send the extras as well. we had about 10 others that wouldn't fit in the book. i don't know how they decide which ones to put in the book or not but it's just as easy to switch them out. they also include an order form if you want to order larger prints or extra prints of any of the ones you have, but it's expensive! we'll stick with the ones we have.

we had the honeymoon shoot and they gave us a small album full of all the prints and the CD with the pics on there. I would say there was about 20ish.

But we didn't get any large ones.

I have just this second had an e-mail from Rosie and she has said that the alternate session is definitely a 2 print 5 by 7 folio. She said that the alternate session used to be a 20 print 4 by 6 album but it was changed from that at the first of the month for all future events.

I am really disappointed - I still can not believe you only get 2 prints in place of the normal package.

OK so you pay 300 dollars for 2 5x7 pictures. That sounds retarded. Looks like I wil not be doing that now.

No, she's talking about swapping out the honeymoon shoot in place of using Disney photography at the wedding itself. Thus, she isn't paying anything extra. Sounds like Disney is getting tired of their packages being swapped out.

Interesting, to say the least....I wonder if that will segway into the cake swap too...you know, if you upgrade and they currently (or at least were) giving a credit off the upgrade for the included cake ????

They want the photo business...you don't have to use theirs, but sounds like they are making it less attractive NOT to. However, I think even if you lost the "value" of the included photography, you would still come out ahead with many outside photographers. We are using Randy and the fact that we get all our proofs plus copywright to them still makes it cheaper than using the "included" photo package from Disney and buying all the reprints !

Sounds like they want the package to be made easy for us and them. I can understand that I guess. It does create more work for them to keep track of scheduling who does or does not want included photos, etc....not that I agree, mind you.

So now that you get only 2 prints in the folio, do you still get a bunch of other loose prints like Hula Girl did?

I received the same package Hulagirl did, and was told by the photography person (I called and asked why I hadn't received the album yet and he told me it was on its way) that it was a "bonus surprise." It didn't sound standard, so I wouldn't count on those loose photos...
