how do you travel with your wands? We have our interactive ones from last year and I want to bring them again this week. I am going to keep them in their boxes while in the suitcase. But when you do in the park how do you carry them? I have a small cross body backpack that I can put them in on rides etc. I was looking online and I think maybe a curling iron pouch will will work. I am just afraid of breaking them! I just don’t want to shove them in my bag each time with the box. Looking for a way to protect them in my bag. Does that make sense!?

My son keeps it in the box in a backpack.

When his robes still fit him (he got them when he was 6.5, and he’s currently 14.5) at some point he’d put on his robes and put the wand in the wand pocket. And that was before he got the interactive one.

The boxes were a tight fit in the lockers so I sent them back to our onsite hotel from one of the shops. The wands are very sturdy. You don't need to treat them as fragile objects. If the sensor on the tip gets out of whack, it is an easy repair at a wand shop.

Once we are onsite, we leave the boxes in our rooms and just poke the wands in our backpacks.

I take it your kid hasn’t dropped one just right yet? They are just resin. Nowhere near as strong as they would be if they were wooden.

We haven’t had trouble with the wand boxes in the lockers the last few times we’ve gone.

The box for the reed one was a barely able to fit in some of the lockers.
Our drops just knocked the sensor out of place.

The kids each had theirs in a zippered backpack. The only other things they had in then were robes or jackets and some small incidentals and they were fine that way for 4 days.

DD10 did drop hers 3 times in the space of 20 mins one day (I don't know what was causing the dropsee) and it survived all 3 times and still did spells. You do want to be careful with them but they're pretty sturdy. Much harder to damage then your phone for example.

Our experience is that losing them is the bigger threat. We've had one poke through a bag and fall out (frantic searching through the line at Kings Cross and a trip back to DA ensued). So zippered compartments on sturdy bags.
