The main one I like to remember is that Everest isn't the highest mountain in the world, but the tallest mountain.

Highest and tallest could be different.
Like if one was below sea level, yet it was very tall, it could be known as the tallest. And if one was way above sea level it could be considered the highest...

Yup. I always get it muddled up . Everest is the highest mountain, from sea level to tip, and Mauna Kea is the tallest mountain, from base to tip.
