My main delimma is where to stay.

POP or POFQ?

We stayed at POFQ and the room was lacking. Some buttons on the tv were missing, a drawer was missing and such, but they were doing refurbs on the all the rooms at that time I believe. I didn't care for the food court, they seemed to have less choices and the layout wasn't that much fun.

Other than that it was BEAUTIFUL. Seriously, so gorgeous. Especially at night when you're back near the boats that take you to DTD.

Pop is like my home. It's fun, it screams disney to me. It's cheaper, they have the best food court, they have the peek tea that I love, and it's nice. The only thing is it's more crowded and noisy, not as pretty, and it takes longer to get where you're going.

Have you tried POR? I rather liked that. The Magnolia Bend section (mansions) is sooo pretty. There's a few quiet pools back there. I also liked the lobby and whatnot. The store is nicely themed, and you can also catch the boat to DTD.

Plus, it has Boatwright's Dining Hall, and a decent food court.

I've looked at it on the disney website a few times, but my mom and I thought that POFQ looked nicer. I've looked through the resorts thread too ad it doesn't really appeal to me. POR reminds me of Tom Sawyer and it's not really what we're going for. I like the New Orleans theme. So, I haven't tried it, but I've looked into it.

Ehh, it's a bit Tom Sawyer, but it's more of a bayou-type thing, while POFQ is obviously the French Quarter.

Reading about discounts. We got a PIN Code for our last POFQ, that's why we stayed there for a night. I would love to stay at a resort that I could see the castle fireworks but that's going to have to be on a solo trip.
