Makes sense. They live in the UK and it's not cheap to fly to Florida from there. Same thing that most families from Canada do. I know Timon (Cass) is from Calgary and they usually come to WDW for 10/11 days and then do DCL.

Return flight to Florida is about £400 per person from gatwick/heathrow. It just depends on which class you fly, and which airline.
