Random thoughts from picking up my DD's at school

These are just some random thoughts, but it makes me wonder sometimes- where the **** these parents brains are

1st- arrived there about 10 minutes early- I park out back, AWAY from all the other parents cars, its a log jam, awful...but anyways..

boy and mom sitting on the sidewalk, playing in a puddle- boy was 6 (not sure why he wasnt in class, I know the kid- he's in 1st grade)..anyway- parent pulls up backs into spot- here's what I heard

Kid--"stupid moron"

Mom- you should say- wow buddy not stupid moron

kid - but that guy is a stupid moron

mom- proceeds to not say a word

short while later- the boy runs into the road, stands in the middle and yells to his mom.......hey stupid im over here

mom tells the boy to get out of the road- when he proceeds to lay in the road....now mind you- myself, and a lot of my friends park in the back-because of the amount of traffic on this side.......what does the mom do?

proceeds to sit there and not do a DAMN thing.......

In my house- stupid is a word you do not say, its as bad as the F word, or B word or whatever......its a "cuss" in this house...i can not imagine my 6 year old telling me "hey stupid, I'm over here".....

Their was probably 20 people there waiting, we all sort of looked at eachother and rolled our eyes.......

I guess each househould has different expectations, but I wouldn't like to see him call anyone stupid...

He probably got suspended from school for not listening to anyone and THAT is why he wasn't in class. Why do parents think it is ok not to show kids how to behave?

Nope he wasnt suspended.....they went back inside and he came out with his classmates and teacher

I would have to sit on my hands not to slap MY kid that called ME stupid.

Does he have special needs. Not having a special needs kid myself, I would like to believe that regardless of what the deal was with my child, calling me stupid would not be an option, but it's the only plausible thing I can think of. Now, letting her child risk his life by laying in the road is a whole different matter.
