Does anyone know if they have gluten-free pitas for that?
If not, I’m contemplating bringing my own gf pitas, ordering it, and just transferring the insides to mine.

It might not just be the pita. My daughter has celiac disease and she can't eat most commercial Schwarma meats, as they contain gluten products as binders. I'm not sure of your level of sensitivity or how DCL procures their meats, but I'd check to be sure the meat itself is safe for you.

Thanks. Mine is a relight reaction to wheat - so it is just easier to say gluten-free.

Can’t answer the question about gluten-free but when I was on the Magic in 2019 they didn’t use pita bread, they were using flour tortillas. 🤔

When we were on the Magic in November, they were giving people the option of tortilla or pita. The pita were in unmarked/generic bags so I didn't see any label on them or anything.

You may find this helpful: one thing I love to do is get some Shwarma (just the meat) and then go over to Daisy's Delights and have them add salad/other toppings to the meal. Its a great way to enjoy shwarma without the extra carbs from the pita. Usually, I just get two separate dishes and combine them myself and it works wonderfully.

I've also seen shawarma being served in flour tortillas (in the Wonder), which is an affront to Middle Eastern cuisine.
But then again, I've also seen in Cabanas "chilaquiles" made with marinara (!!) sauce and canned beans, which is the ultimate insult to Mexicans.
DCL just doesn't care about food. They think people will eat anything and everything (which is mostly true)

Thanks! I may do that for a salad one day - I don’t subscribe to the “carbs are evil” camp though. :D

Is the Schwarma station available only on the Magic, or other ships too. We will be sailing on the Fantasy.

Weird. So a schwarma burrito.
OMG! Now I know what was bothering me about it when I had it a week ago. I was so looking forward to this because it’s only available on the smaller ships but something was off It was the bread that was off. It really was more like a burrito! AF6B7B02-C790-4325-B854-277558E10BEF.jpeg
