Random DME question

Hi all! For my upcoming trip, I'm booked at Pop from 10/4 to 10/10, switching over to AKV on the 10th for one night, checking out 10/11. My flight leaves at 6 something in the morning on 10/12, so I'll probably have to leave about 2:30 or 3 in the morning.


1) Does DME run that early?
2) I booked the night at AKV through the Dave's DVC request site that's on here, and I sent them info for my return DME but they haven't added it to my reservation yet, and I'm not sure they're able to since I'm leaving on the 12th. But, on my POP ressie info, it still does show my DME return for the 12th. Does anyone know if this will cause problems, or should I call DME and clear everything up with them?

Yes DME runs that early.

Wait until you get there if you have problems with DME the trip back to the airport at the end of your vacation.

Less of a chance of messing something else up.

Note that if you check out on the 11'th, then DME is available to you only if you leave Disney on the 11'th, not the 12'th. Although you don't have to fly out immediately after DME drops you off at the airport, the last DME runs out of Disney leave ca. 9 PM since the last flights depart MCO around 3 hours later ca. midnight. Maybe not quite that late.

The problem is that you want to use DME on the 12th, but you don't have a resort reservation on the 12th..you check out on the 11th. You could book DME for late evening on the 11th. But then you will have to find someplace to sleep, or hang out at, until 4am-ish.
You say your Pop reservation shows you as leaving on the 12th...but is that still good??? Did you cancel those last few nights when you booked DVC at AKL??? If you didn't, then you can move back over to Pop on the 11th and then sleep there and take DME out of there around 3am-ish for a 6am flight.

But, if you did indeed cancel those last two nights at Pop, then you have no recourse. You can talk to whomever you wish to when you get there....but if you don't have an active resort reservation on the 12th, you can't take the DME bus back to the resort. And if you do indeed have an open reservation at Pop that ends on the 12th, then you have to use DME from Pop.

I was planning on doing EMH at Epcot that night and then head back to whatever hotel after that. Probably to AKV to pick up my bags and then back to Pop (assuming the DTD buses still run till 2am, or at least that's what I remember reading).

Okay, so you still have a live reservation at Pop. If I were you, I would pretty much leave my bags at Pop. Take just a backpack with anything you might need for that one night at AKL. Then, you can store the backpack in a locker at Epcot on the 11th. Then, when you are ready to head out, just grab your bsackpack from the locker and then head to Pop to leave.
Or, head to Pop around lunchtime, via a cab, with your bags. Leave them there and then head to Epcot for the day/evening. Then you can return to Pop later that night/early morning to get your bags and take DME back to the airport.
But that will only work if you have a paid reservation at Pop for the 11/12th.

Depends. It should be about $20 one way. And, you could book it from AKL. The funny thing is that you may very well be put on a DME bus. But, at least you could forget about getting back to Pop to take DME.

I think I'll use that as my game plan. It shouldn't be too much out of my budget to do that.....unless I go souvie crazy while down there (or more realisticaly, Dole Whip crazy ). Or, I have some friends that are renting a car I could bribe into taking me. Thanks again for the help! I'll ask DME when I get there too, in the off chance we can work something out.
