Our day begins at 7:30 with Bagels and coffee in our villa. I check the weather report and am relieved to hear of no rain and sun today. We head out to the boat dock to meet up with my niece (Jen) and fiance (Greg) for a day at Magic Kingdom. I always enjoy this boat ride and it only takes minutes.

We arrive and are walking down Main Street, its a little chilly yet since its early, so DH (Bill) decides he needs to buy a sweatshirt, this excites me, his first Disney Sweatshirt!! ( I have to wonder if he'll wear it once we get home.)

As we make our way toward the castle for pictures together, we decide to purchase theirs and the very friendly CM also takes shots using our cameras. Ok, now we are off! We decide on Thunder Mountain, after walking past Splash Mountain, Jen and I are not excited about getting wet since its still chilly. We are in a long line with a big group of cheerleaders ahead of us, keeping everyone amused. About 30 minutes later, as we are almost there, a voice comes over the speaker asking everyone to please turn around and go out the way they came in, they are having difficulty and shutting down the ride. So far we have been in the park an hour and still haven't ridden a thing! We head on over to the Peter Pan ride, and I rode that for the first time, what a cute ride!

We have lunch at Liberty Tavern. I have always like this restaurant, but those hamburgers are way too much for 1 person to eat!! Jen found that out! We skip dessert, of course, and head back out to the park.

We decide to go over to Tomorowland and I spot Angie walking toward me, Yes, I recognized her from all the pictures I had seen. I walk right up to her and say "Angie"! (I think I startled her lol) I tell her who I am, we chat for a minute or two and I get Billy to take our picture. She is heading out for a break. She asks if I am going to any of the meets, and I tell her I will be at O'Hana's on Friday morning.

We decide in the early afternoon to head back to the Villa to rest for a while before dinner, we didn't do this yesterday, and it was too much walking. My DD and her friend show up and talk us all into Rainforest Cafe, I think it's one of her favorites. The amazing thing was we only waited 10 minutes this time for a table for 6 ulike the previous times when we waited at least an hour. We order the flatbread for an appetizer (always good) and the ribs for our main course. Everything was good, including the service, I have no complaints.

The four of us are now headed over to Cirque de Soleil, and DD and friend decide to walk around downtown for a while. We only waited about 10 minutes to get in, they asked us to be there at 8:30 for the 9:00 performance. We enjoyed the clowns at the beginning while we were waiting for the show to start. This was our first time, Jen and Greg had been here before. This show was so Amazing, I can't even find the words to describe it. Definately one of the Highlights of our week!

After we arrive back at WLV, we decide to hit the hot tubs. The hot tub at WLV is more spacious and hotter (104) than the ones at WL, so Jen and I head down to relax our tired muscles. This was a fantastic Day!!

Sandi, Thanks for the great report. Sounds like a lovely day.

Too funny, that you would see Angie walking toward you. We are always at an advantage when we recognize someone from the Dis, before they know who we are.

This happened to Hubby and I a couple of weeks ago at Cape Cod. We had just checked in and were going to our room. I went to open the door and someone from the other side opened it first. What a supprise my first words were "Dan Murphy" :)

A rest at the resort definately does a body good. Glad you had fun at Cirque, I've seen one that came here before, but never the one at Disney, they are absolutely amazing.

The hot tub sounds very relaxing!

Sounds like a good trip! How cool you got to meet Angie! We'll be down there after she goes home, I am so bummed. I am with you on getting wet when it is cold. My DS "made" me ride Splash at midnight one December when it was cold - I still give him grief for that one.

Can't wait to read Day 3!!

Sounds like your trip was a fun one, but I am sorry it was not warm.. It is not fun to ride Splash Mountain with the threat of getting wet when it is cool... Actually, they probably did you a favor, wet clothes early in the morning, Yikes..

My DH would never wear anything with logo's on them...now when we go on our 3 times a year trips, he is the first one to buy a Disney sweatshirt etc. LOLOL! He always wears them at home too! Thanks for Posting. I love the Rainforest also and have never had a bad meal in the 6 times we have been eating there! Glad you liked it also!
