On my very first trip to Disneyland my family got to stay at Ramada Maingate Anaheim that's now Fairfield By Marriott and I would like to know if anyone remembers staying there? The Ramada Maingate Anaheim was so cool and what made them unique was you could order McDonald's from the rooms and it would be delivered to your room and also it was next to Millie"s Country Kitchen. It's a shame that this Ramada closed because it was one of the best hotels in Anaheim that was next to Disneyland and also had Disneyland shuttle service to the park too

I remember the old Ramada Maingate as being what is now the Grand Legacy at the park. I stayed at the old Ramada for the 50th anniversary for Disneyland. Maybe there were two Ramada’s? 🤔

I thought the Fairfield Inn was always the Fairfield Inn…but maybe I’m mistaken! I guess that would make since that it’s a motel style hotel for being a Marriott property.

That’s pretty cool you could have McDonald’s delivered to the room!

We stayed at the Ramada main gate which is. Now the Fairfield in the late 80s or early 90s. Pretty sure we did for at least 2-3 different trips. I mostly remember liking the location and the sprinklers going off in the lobby due to a massive heat wave in March.

My family was impressed with Ramada Maingate Anaheim so much that we stayed there a second time for a Disneyland trip with my aunt and my cousin and it was pretty awesome and the room we had was comfortable and nice and the beds were comfortable and perfect as well. I don't know why Ramada closed this hotel down and it now became a Fairfield Inn By Marriott because Ramada Inns do very well when they are next to an amusement park and Ramada Maingate Anaheim was the top hotel in Anaheim because of it's quick Disneyland access. It's a surprise that some of the classic Anaheim hotels like Castle Inn And Suites and Candy Cane Inn are still surviving while a lot of the other classic Anaheim hotels are long gone and Ramada Maingate Anaheim is one of those classic hotels that should've stayed open longer

You are correct. It wasn't next to McDonald's. It was near Del Sol Inn, and had a Tony Roma's in it.
