We are trying to find a dinner spot for our arrival night. Just doing pool at our resort (GCH) so considering either ordering pizza to hotel, doing Storytellers (kinda boring?) or trying out Ralph Brennan's Jazz kitchen. My husband was wondering how "kid-friendly" the restaurant was though... thoughts?

Thanks! I figured any restaurants in DTD was kid-friendly for the most part...just wondering if it was any "fun" for the kids ?

I've taken a 3 year old to Brennan's Jazz Kitchen and she enjoyed her meal, but it's not "fun" in that there aren't going to be activities for the kids or characters roaming around or a lot to watch inside the restaurant. She did enjoy sitting outside and seeing what was happening in DTD, but she did ultimately end up getting kind of bored. I still think Brennan's is a great choice for food and a great place to get kids used to dining at TS locations (because Disney venues are very friendly to children), but it's not RFC with all the things for kids to see while eating (audio-anamatronic animals, thunder storms, fish tanks, etc.).

Oh, well, I think others have address "fun." It's a restaurant...does you child(ern) get bored easy? Will they be antsy because of the proximity to the parks? Etc. You know your child best.

But does it have a buster tying balloon animals (Naples) or audio-animatronics (RFC)? Nope. But often live music though and, for adults, the food will be worlds better than the cafeteria-quality stuff at RFC.

Thanks everyone. My kids might like the live music, for something different. We already plan on Rainforest Café one night (a usual for us) and tortilla joes w/ the balloon people. People watching from the balcony sounds cool.

My kids do love Storytellers, just as a note. We always make at least one visit there. I don't know if any restaurant (aside from RFC, which terrified my youngest) is entertaining.

We love Storytellers for breakfast. That was another consideration for dinner but just seems kind of "blah". We have eaten dinner there before

My kids love Storyteller's - especially the build your own pizza. They also really like the food at Jazz Kitchen, so I don't think you can wrong with either.

They also really like Naples (great pizza!), who does have people doing balloon animals/characters.
