Hey everyone. I'm new here :)

Well, tomorrow it is my one year anniversary with my boyfriend. We recently got our all year passes for Disneyland back in December 2010, and we've decided to put it to use tomorrow (2/19/11).
Planning was going great, until the weather took a turn for the worse (or the best, depending on how you think of it).
It's supposed to rain everywhere tomorrow, and as a SoCal resident, I am totally not used to driving in the rain, let alone my boyfriend.
Last time we went to Disneyland in the rain (December of '10) I was miserable. My feet and pants were soaked, and it was freezing.
We still desperately want to go though. Any word of advice to make it more enjoyable (for me anyway) than last time?
Thanks in advance!

I dress WARM (I live down here too so I hate being cold). I wear UnderArmour shirts and tights, pants, like 3 more shirts or 2 more and a hoodie, and then a waterproof coat WITH A HOOD and ear warmers. If you have a pair of cute rain boots, like Sperry's, I'd wear those over your pants! If it's really supposed to rain all day you might want to pack one more pair of dry pants in a back pack and hold out until you absolutely can't hold out anymore, then change in a bathroom. I can deal with a lot of things, but wet pants is not one of them!

Hmm...I can't help you much there. Rain doesn't scare me!;) The saying here in the Seattle area is that only tourists use umbrellas!

But I would suggest a good waterproof jacket with a hood. Perhaps even a cheapy poncho that you could throw on over your clothes. Have you seen those ones that fold up into themselves?? I would also suggest that you bring a extra pair of shoes and socks. If your feet are dry then you'll be fine! I would not recommend rain boots. If you've ever tried to walk in these for an extended period of time, you'll know why I caution against it.:headache:

On a more vain, personal note...I would pack a few toiletry items to keep you looking and feeling fresh. You'd be surprised how much better you'll feel just by washing your face, applying a fresh coat of makeup and brushing your hair.:cloud9:

i know the rain totaly bumbed me out few years ago in nov. ill be ready this nov in case it rains ponchos an extra socks are a big thing. also look for the most inside places you can do when its rainging hard an go on out side rides when it is less.

If it were me, and I lived down there and was only planning a day trip. I wouldn't go. But that is me. We have also done DL in the rain and I too was miserable. Some people love it, me, not so much. It's cold and wet and just not fun.

Wear warm clothes, grab a poncho, a cappuccino & you will survive :goodvibes

At this stage it looks like it's going to be raining when we're there too. I have been looking forward to this holiday for 20 years, and I am not going to let anything ruin it for me!

I have an awesome pair of boots - Ariat Terrains. They are hiking boots that you can also use for horse riding, and are completely waterproof! They also happen to be the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. They're not cheap, but they're probably cheaper in the US than over here so it might be worth checking out.

I also plan to wear a raincoat with a hood and also rain pants over my jeans if necessary. I'll be taking a spare pair of socks too, just in case.

I wore this outfit over my clothes a couple of weeks ago when we were hit by flash flooding. I was outside trying to protect our house for at least half an hour, ankle deep in water with rain pelting down on me, and stayed completely dry.

It may not be the most glamorous look, but I plan to be out in the rain enjoying my holiday :)

BTW I also went a bit nuts and bought a little waterproof camera for our trip. I don't like to use my good one when it's raining, but didn't want to miss any photo opportunities at DLR!

Having said all that though, if you don't think you'll enjoy it as much if it's raining, and you're in a position to just hold out for the weather to improve, maybe you're better off doing something else for your anniversary and using your passes another time.

According to Weather.com, it says it'll start raining around 6-7PM w/ a 60-70% possibility. I'd probably just go early and check things out, maybe get in 2-3 rides then go home. You guys have a pass now, you can come back anytime!

My GF and I do this all the time haha. Usually just go for a short stint, then go back home. But yes, just dress accordingly and you should be fine.

Wear Crocs, when it rains, you feet will not be miserable....other than that, just enjoy, maybe bring ponchos.
