Is there somewhat of a "better" day to use the Rainforest pass for the Alaska itinerary? I was thinking the 1st sea day, but then I thought...well, maybe the last sea day since I'll likely be plenty tired and worn out from our excursions. I can't imagine I'd go in more than once or twice, so would a port day be better? Though we plan on being off the ship most of the day on port days. Does it get pretty busy in there on that last sea day before disembarkation with everyone wanting to use it before getting off the ship? Would the first sea day be better?

We’ve done the cruise length pass for the rainforest room on all 3 of our Alaskan cruises. Regardless of the day, the early morning was always very quiet in there - most times hubby and I were the only ones. We never went during the middle of the day, but evenings were usually quiet too because most people were at dinner or the show.

Hope this helps!

I only have a 1 day pass. Would it be a bad idea to go during Tracy Arm day? We don't plan on doing the excursion there, and I can't imagine viewing the glacier for more than an hour or so...would we? Is there a lot of other stuff going on on Tracy Arm day that we shouldn't miss?

I think out of all the "sea" days, Tracy Arm day would be a good one to choose. Most of the ship amenities and activities were much quieter that day because most people were up on deck for most of the day. You don't get to the glacier until early-mid afternoon though, so it might be busier before that. Another day you could consider would be Skagway - it's a long port and many stay off the ship as long as they can. If you don't have an excursion planned or it gets back earlier, it could be a good time to hit the Rainforest before everyone gets back on board.
