Rainforest Room Passes: multiple single day vs length of cruise (Dream & Fantasy)

So for a 7-day on the Fantasy for 2 people, it is cheaper to buy the cruise pass and not the single day passes, correct? I don't care about the scrub, but the Rainforest is awesome!

Question: when you order the day passes ahead, do you have to designate who they're for? Could I order 6 day passes, and DH and I decide later who uses them? Maybe 4 for me, 2 for him... or all for me... ;)

Sounds like it's added only for SPA SERVICES...?? Is this access considered a "spa service", or do they mean if you get a massage while you're there?

You will be charged 18% gratuity for any and all things related to the spa. If you get a service (massage), you will be charge 18% gratuity. If you buy a pass to the Rainforest Room (day or week), you will be charged 18% gratuity. If you buy a bottle of lotion from the spa, you will be charged 18% gratuity.

Anyone know if when you pre-purchase a day pass if you have to specify which cruise it is for? We are doing a B2B and I want to buy some for both. Thank you!

Yes, you have to tell them how many for which cruise.

They will be in your room when the rooms are release for each cruise (so if you say 2 for the first and 3 for the second, the first time you can go to your room there will be two then on embarkation day for the second cruise they will give you the 3 for that cruise).

Although you are on consecutive/B2B cruises, each cruise is treated separately from an account POV.

I am not 100% sure for the 87 day cruise.

you are looking at 7*16 = 112 (plus gratuity) per person if you were to get single day passes in advance.

According to a recent navigator (Jan 2016) for the Fantasy, the price of the length of cruise pass is:

single $144
couple $193

(plus spa gratuity)

the thing is this should/might be for the pass which includes scrubs. They may have a cheaper option with no scrubs (or that could be the price without scrubs; it doesn't say).

Either way though,

112*2 = 224 which is more expensive than 193 and definitely does NOT include scrubs.

So, for two people, who plan to use the rainforest room each day, the length of cruise pass bought on board is cheaper. And, if you do not want scrubs, ask if they have a length of cruise pass that does NOT include scrubs, as if they do it might even be even cheaper.

One thing to remember on doing the math for a three or four night cruise is unless using a day pass after dinner (once all the open houses finish) your first night at sea, you should always buy one day less (assuming you'll use each day).

You raise a good point.

For us, we have late dinner and do not always go to the shows. On the Fantasy and the Dream, I found that going to the rainforest room during the early dining time was almost a guarantee that it would be empty or nearly so. My preference was to use the loungers, and I found even just a 30 minute visit that first night was worthwhile. YMMV.

i purchased four day passes in advance for myself, but ended up taking two friends on separate occasions and the spa was OK with that. this was last July on the Wonder.

Just wanted to stop by and say thank you for the info here! I faxed in the form to order day passes to the spa earlier today, and just received an email confirmation of my order. Nice and easy, and I feel good knowing that I have this one thing tied up!!

So did I read correctly that the tickets/passes will be in our stateroom on Day 1 of the cruise?

Winter, you can. No one is in the Rainforest Room to moniter you anyway, so do what you want... as long as your clothes stay on :p A gentleman didn't understand that (elderly guy), so was just lounging around in the caldarium in the buff! There are no children, but he was politely asked to reclothe himself as to not bother the ladies.

I found it hilarious.

We are flying in day of (I know, couldn't be helped due to work Friday) and will get to the boat late-ish, I think around 1-1:30 if my estimate is correct. Do we need to worry about them running out of couples passes? The Rainforest Room is probably the thing my husband is most excited about and I would really hate to disappoint him.

We bought a couples pass day 2 of a 7-day our last cruise. I'd not fret they "selling out" before their open house finishes. It is when they sell many that first day. If concerned, make it one of your mad dash stops after embarkation. I'd be more worried of tastings filling up or the Princess gathering/character breakfast line being really long than length of cruise passes selling out the first afternoon.

I doubt they would run out that quickly, though presumably it is possible.

Keep in mind that that is when people who are on DCL transfers from the WDW resorts will be arriving, so it wouldn't be very wise of them to be running out when that entire group of people will be boarding.

On our second cruise we arrived ~1 or 130. The first thing I did once on board was to go up to the spa and get the Rainforest Room pass, so that way I knew I had it. since it is so important for you, i suggest doing the same. (note: only one person needs to go, so the other could do something else if needed).

Thank you! We will probably split, one of us run up to the spa and the other go get in line for the character breakfasts and stuff. Pending cooperation of the two small children, naturally... (Bwahahaha.)
