I know it is a chain but we have never eaten there before, I am thinking of making reservations for our upcoming trip?
Can you give me an idea of price?
Also does it have the thunderstorm" and the animatronic animals spring to life. And the Mushroom bar?

Go to allears.net. They have all the menus for the Disney resort, including Rainforest Cafe. It also has prices.

They do have a thunderstorm. We usually go every time we head to DL!:)

I had to google Mushroom Bar! Lol
But yes, I definitely think that's what they have when you first walk in. And the animals...and the storm....
We enjoyed the action better upstairs, than downstairs.

We enjoy it every time we go. Yes its a chain but aways good.

As for prices I think the menu is on there website with prices.

The atmosphere is fun, but I have to say the food was disappointing. I'd suggest breakfast or appetizers.

We enjoyed our flatbread pizza and my daughter enjoyed her grilled chicken. The drinks were very tasty!!

This may convince hubby (Do you remember what it was called?)
We went last year, the food was ordinary.. The drink is coronarita!!!! Totally amazing I had quiet a few :) for 3 adults two kids and many coronaritas our meals including tipping was about $100 when we went last year. I would go again just for the drinks and my kids want to try the lava cake:)

Cute place, but the food not so great.

DD who is 4 really enjoys the eye candy so we just deal with it and do breakfast there since it is slightly better than their lunch and dinner.

I recommend reservations it does get pretty busy. :-)

Breakfast is good and much quicker to get in and get served. You can wait for ages at dinner time.

Yeah, we are basically going for the atmosphere and lava cake I am expecting Denny's quality food...

dbf and i are big big fans of rainforest. the first time we went for dinner we were sat next to the gorillas upstairs, we each had an alcoholic drink, burgers, and an appetizer i think. i had a $25 gift card and I think we spent $40 or so out of pocket.

this last time we were sat next to the elephants upstairs and each had an alcoholic drink and chose a few appetizers. we chose the apps so that we could do dessert! the lava cake is a HUGE dessert and i knew that if we'd each gotten dinners that we would never be able to eat it. we became landry's members in february & march is my boyfriend's birthday, so when we went again in april we had both the $25 welcome bonus and his $25 birthday bonus. we used them both on the meal, and only had to pay for the alcohol and tip since it doesn't count for the bonuses.

Did you have any problem using both the welcome and birthday one, I thought about doing that as well, but I didn't thing they would let me use both, on the website I thought it says they will only let you use one.

We used both at trex in October.

We like RFC a lot, we like the atmosphere, we prefer to sit by the fish tanks (we have 3 tanks at home lol) when we eat there. We usually get 1 appetizer and 1 entree for DBF and I to share, the girls can easily share as well. Food portions are huge so we never leave hungry. We've had the Volcano a few times, it's good and it's fun but we've had better desserts so if we aren't hungry we just skip it. I definitely suggest reservations, they are always busy in there.

nope, no problems! i googled tons before our trip to see if they would take them both and i think i came across a few dis threads about people using them both.

they were both taken of automatically (at least i didn't need to ask?) and our bill came back with just the $26 for the drinks.
