I was hoping to book both Rainforest Cafes, one for breakfast and the other for dinner but have just realised that they are not part of the DDP :sad2:

Which do you think is the better meal there, breakfast or dinner? and which location AK or DTD??? Or are they identical???

We have 21 days worth of free DDP :yay: so I was disappointed that so few of the restaurants at DTD participate :sad1:

Would anyone out there recommend any must do restaurants that are on the DDP? So far we have decided on Sci Fi Diner (kid's choice), Boma, Coral Reef, Yachtsman's Steakhouse, Hoop Dee Doo and Le Cellier.

Thank you

Ive never been to the RFC at DTD only AK, we usually have lunch there on an AK day and always enjoy it there.:goodvibes Other restaurents we like are Crystal Palace at MK and Garden Grill at Epcot :thumbsup2

These are a few restaurants that we enjoy, we have three young boys and they also enjoy Hoop dee doo and Boma :thumbsup2

Tusker house character breakfast – table service

Mama Melrose's Fantasmic package

Crystal Palace – table service

Plaza Restaurant – table service

Raglan road – table service

Ohanas character breakfast - table service

We have also eaten at the Rainforest Cafe in both AK and DTD, i had nothing to complain about but it would not be my first choice. How about trying the new T-rex although i expect it will be very similar :)

:thumbsup2 I have only been to the RFC for dinner and definetly prefer the one by the AK. The one at DTD was very hit and miss, in terms of food quality and service. I have a couple of other DDP ideas for you but some of them require 2 credits; California Grill timed to view "wishes", Hollywood Brown Derby at the Studios. If your kids are young they might like the Whispering Canyons Cafe at the Wilderness lodge and Chef Mickey's is good for breakfast at the Contemporary.

Thanks for all the tips :thumbsup2

The 2 credit restaurants are no problem as we will be spending days at the non disney parks including Busch Gardens and Kennedy so will be eating outside of WDW too!:scared1:

Our kids will be 13 (DS) and 11 (DD) when we go so think they may be a bit old for too many character meals and would be bored. We like the sound of Chef Mickey's but thought that the Backyard BBQ sounded a bit young for them.

the RFC at dtd is in my opinion- is overcrowded, they have crammed loads of tables and chairs in there to get as many people in as possible, food isnt that good and service is poor.

Paul,IMO,there are better restaurants on the DDP than RFC but if I had to choose then the one at AK.We also had 21 days last year so our standouts were: Kona Cafe,Coaral Reef, the Cali Grill,Boma, the Flying Fish,Olivia's,Whispering canyon,Narcosseses,Artist Point & the Wave. You'll notice a few 2xTS but we had "saved" them from our days at US/IOA/SW/BG.... Our No.1 would be a toss-up between Cali Grill & the Wave.
SD:thumbsup2

Thank you they all sound good! :thumbsup2 I will try to get my DW to sit down and study the menus and help me choose! I was glad to see Olivia's in there as we are staying at OKW and had planned on a few meals in there as it would be the most convenient :)
