So here is my question...

If you are a member of the Safari Club do you really need to make PS arrangements? I believe as a member of the Safari Club you get seated upon arrival, correct? So is it necessary to do both? Or will one or the other suffice?

Thanks :teeth:

I would go with PS over Safari Club seating. Safari Club seating is "based on availability" and both restaurants at DW are so busy, especially DTD. We got bacik from DW a few weeks ago and had PS at all the restaurants we went to and had, at the most, 10 minute waits!!

Thank you! I figured that was probably the case. We have a local Rainforest Cafe here in Baltimore that the Safari Club seating works well for, and it gets pretty busy there, but I have been to the DTD one and I know it gets REALLY busy! Thanks again!

a couple years ago we tried to make PS way in advance. No available seating.

I immediately called the restaurant direct, gave them my safari club number and our party of 10 had no problem getting "reservations". I wonder if they only give out so many ps and hold some for safari, by calling in advance we secured seating.

We were seated promptly upon arrival, during the New Years holiday, when the crowds outside waiting were large.

We were in DW this past May and did not have a PS at the Rainforest. We used our Safari Card on two separate occassions and do not have any trouble, we got right in. This was the one at the AK. Someone told me that the Rainforest at DD does not take PS is that correct?

According to the Passporter book the RFC in DTD does take PS. (haha, that is like secret code with all the abbreviations.) ;)

I have been a RFC Safari Club member for over 5 years and I have NEVER had PS and have always been directed into the seating que without waiting.

Its a great program as you also get the 10% discount. I have used the card at many of the other RFC locations around the country with the same results.

I didn't see anywhere to join on the website, so I called the 800 number and they told me that you have to join in person at a location. We have a local Rainforest Cafe, but what about the people who don't? Has anyone received a different answer?

Joining is not a complicated process. The RFC at DTD you can sign up at the counter where they sell clothing and use the card right away.

Safari Club! ::yes:: We have been members for years and have NEVER had a problem getting seated immediately, even when super busy. We were just there last Sunday and while others were being turned away we walked right in.

Drcell01 is right-You can sign up for the card on the spot and use it immediately. You will always get either 10% off of your bill or a free appetizer. Also, you get 10% off on all merchandise in the gift shop. You can also use it at other participating restaurants. We use ours at Joe's Crab Shack as well.

Membership is $15, and they'll send you a $10 gift certificate. Which isn't too helpful if you don't have a local RFC.

The Safari Club is well worth it! Even when I've been to RFC at DTD on Saturday nights, and the waits are 2+ hours, all I have to do is show my card! No problem.

The best part is the 10% off or the free appetizer. I always get the chicken quesadilla for the free app. and it's plenty enough for my whole meal! Their portions are huge!
