Rainforest Cafe lunch voucher

I have a PS for the AK Rainforest Cafe at 6 pm. Is anyone absolutely sure that we can use our Vacation Kingdom lunch vouchers for this meal? I think I read in a post that since they have the same lunch and dinner menus that this is allowed. I can't find the post now!!

Also if the park closes at 5 pm and our PS is at 6 pm. will we still be able to catch a bus back to CSR after dinner??

I ordered Connections vouchers on Wednesday morning and I am praying they will arrive by Tuesday. They told me 2-day UPS so maybe they will be here Monday. Has anyone had a problem getting them within 6 days or so?

I am hoping to go to the AK Rainforest Cafe for dinner the night we arrive (7pm) I didn't even think about the possibility of not having transportation back to the resort!

When are you going? We are going 2/4. If you go earlier, would you mind updating me on if they really allow you to use the voucher after lunch hours?

I assure you, they allow them to be used. We have used them many times, and will be using them again in a week and a half. Be sure to ask about the items not on the menu..like the steak and lobster surf and turf. I believe that meal is over $40 and it is allowed on the voucher. The waiters are very good at helping you pick out voucher available items..they like you to get the most expensive items, since they get the tip. The valcano dessert does take two voushers, and one of the appetizers takes two also..everythign else is fair game!
Our vouchers always come within three days of ordering.
Can't help you with the transport, since we rent a car, but I imagine they will have buses til the rf closes. Many people go after the park closes, although I didn't realize they stayed open that late.

UPDATE.

I did get my vouchers via UPS this morning! Yippee!! We are leaving on Wednesday morning for our first trip to Disney World and I can hardly wait.

Thanks to everyone here for all the info I have been soaking up. This is a last minute decision for us as we decided to go only 8
days before leaving. We were able to get a good airfare through
priceline. I was also able to get a PS for breakfast with Donald, a PS for the AK Rainforest Cafe for Friday night at 6 pm.

We are staying at the Coronado Springs Resort (my DH has a convention there).

Now all I need to do is arrange for a pick up at the airport. I will
call Happy Limo or Your ride today (is this notice enough for a pick up on Wednesday night, being today is Monday??)

No, the Q&C lunch vouchers are for counter service type places only. The Vacation Kingdom lunch vouchers are for sit down restaurants like the Rainforest Cafe and they can be used only during lunch time. Now, from what I understand the Rainforest Cafe does not change menus from lunch to dinner so the voucher can be used there at dinner time as well. (Only the RC at the AK).

You can get these vouchers from a company called Connections. Check out the mousesavers.com website and look under saving money with meals. Also search through the budget board for more information. It seems you must be smart about where to use them for them to be worthwhile. The breakfast ones are good for character breakfasts so they are worth it because they include tax and tip. I like the idea that they are paid for in advance.
Be careful, some expire 3/31, although the lunch ones I just received have an exp of 5/31.

When I asked on the phone (the other day) if they have expiration dates- the person on the phone said they might have expiration dates on them but they do NOT expire.
Atleast that's what he said. ????
I was curious because if I bought some for this trip and didn't use them all- I wanted to make sure I could use them later on in the year if I/us went back very late in the year. He said that would be fine, they wouldn't expire. He acted like I was a weirdo for thinking they would expire- so I let him know that I had heard they had expiration dates and that is when he said they might have that on them, but they don't expire.

Does this make sense to anyone? Does that mean they don't really expire? I would really like to know.

I'm glad you got yours so fast! I guess that means I would have been safe to buy some and get them in time for my upcoming trip! Ohwell.. I was too scared to buy them for the above reason (in case I couldn't use them all and they DID really expire before we had another trip up there to use them)

Anyone going to be there while I'm there and have a spare voucher or two I can buy? LOL

We used lunch vouchers last week at RFC at 7:00pm. We did order the surf and turf which was 49.00 just for the entree! We also got smoothies, cappochino, dessert. The bill was way over 100.00. Not bad for a 29.00 voucher!

Did you eat at the Animal Kingdom RFC? I called to make PS and was told the AK RFC closes at 6. But I was under the impression that the RFC in Downtown Disney does not accept the vouchers?

Yes, it was AK RFC! I may have miscalculated the time but it seemed around 7:00 to the best of my memory. If it closes at 6:00 we must of been out of there by 6:00! It was dark when we left, if that helps!
