I have received 2 RFC gcs from My Points. The first had no date on it, the second that I just received today is dated Jan. 2, 2002 (not 2003). No where on the gc does it say that it is only valid for 1 year. Before I make a stink with My Points, I would like to know if they do expire. Anybody know for sure?

Mine said somewhere on them valid for 1 year from date of issue. Might have been on the back.
Did you just get the Jan 02 one?

You know, I got one of those too and crossed out the 2002 adding a 2003. They took it in the CT restaurant without questions

I had an expired one and contacted Landry's through their website. They did exchange it for me. I mailed them the expired one and they mailed me another one. The one they mailed me said it was valid 6 mos from date of issue.

Can you post the website?

I also have two GCs, one has expired and the other doesn't have an expiration date.

szulu,

Yes, I just got the one dated Jan. 2, 2003 yesterday. I have read and read the certificate and I can't find where it says valid for one year anywhere. Was your certificate recent? Also, this isn't just RFC but a Landrys certificate.

I did contact My Points about this. I'll post if I ever get an answer!

I purchased the GC's from GiftCertificates.com but they were the same as the one I got from MyPoints last spring. (yes Landry's - a goldish color) I used them NYE or else I would check to see where they said valid for 1 year.

I ordered 2 last year and received them around July. They were dated something like July 10, 200. I emailed MyPoints who told me to contact Landry directly. Landry wanted me to mail them back but it was too close to our departure date, so I used them as-is. Didn't have a problem using 2GCs which expired 1800 years ago. :)
