It is an experience. It is very noisy, between all the people and the thunderstorm every 20 min or so. I had a pasta dish last visit that was very good however, I find it is very pricey. It's a fun place to go at least once though.
My family and I always go there at least 2 times while we are in WDW, because it's one of our favorite restaurants. The item I always order is the Planet Earth Pasta.
I've always loved Rainforest Cafe. The interior is, well, a rain forest! It has anamatronic animals that periodically come to life, and once in a while there is a thunderstorm (no rain, just flashing lightning and booming thunder.)
The food is usually quite good and prices are about equal with Disney restaurants.
Personally, I prefer the Rainforest location at Animal Kingdom to the one at Downtown Disney. The DTD location is always very crowded, and service the last few times I ate there was awful, while the quality and service at the AK location were still excellent and the crowds are much smaller.
we go every trip. De we are tryin the one in AK
The steaks are good. I also tried the pot roast once and liked it.
We go more for the experience than anything.
