Hi, I am debating whether to eat in Rainforest Cafe one night next week, has anyone been there recently? I have had a look on the restaurant thread but there aren't many recent posts. Just wondering how the food was? Also, it was mentioned on that board that there is now a set menu - does anyone have any info on this???

Thanks :dance3:

we eat in here a few weeks ago

very nice food

there is a normal menu and there is a set menu , its up to you

i ate here a few times over a week ago, very nice food & staff - food comes pretty quick too.

il do a review today when i get a chance :goodvibes

i think its a main course and dessert and was about 21 euros

I think the set menu was either 19 Euro or 21 Euro, sorry, I can't really remember as we didn't eat off it....

We've eaten there on both our visits to DLRP and it's a firm fave! We love it at The Rainforest Cafe! The food is really good.... If you have a look in the restaurant reviews sticky at the Rainforest Cafe thread I've posted some pics of our meals there....

We had a nice meal there but was going back 8 months or so. If you are a Shareholder you can also use your card there for discount.

Is that the discount I have seen people refering to? I think I read somewhere someone had 20% off - are they only for shareholders?

We got money off vouchers from our travel company (Leger) that were worth 20% off....

You can't get shareholders discount here as Disney don't own it.

As a promotion they did a voucher on a leaflet to get discount off your meals in certain restaurants.

My food was lovely but I just couldn't bear the prices. It took it a step further for me, from expensive to rip-off. But the restaurant itself is fantastic - the scenery is great and had my baby not been a screaming DEVIL of a child and DH had to leave early with him, to get him to sleep, I'd probably have enjoyed it a lot more :)

We ate there again in October and had an excellent meal as usual.

We believe they had reduced the price of the childrens meal to €10 (think it was about €15 in March 2008)

Plus 10% discount from Dream AP:yay:

is it true you can not use half board vouchers here for the face value x

I don't think the Half Board Vouchers are valid here at all as The Rainforest Cafe isn't a Disney Restaurant....

Well on the 3 times I have eaten there I have handed my shareholder card over and been given 15% off the bill.....maybe I've just been lucky.:confused3

You were lucky as it states in the T&C's of the shareholders that Planet Hollywood, King Ludwigs, McDonald's & RC are excluded. http://corporate.disneylandparis.com/shareholders/shareholders-club/discounts/index.xhtml

sorry i was asking about the half board voucher discount not the shareholder

We were talking about shareholder discount earlier in the thread:thumbsup2

I know as I looked at that myself but I've defo used it as I know the Dream AP I have got isn't usable there. Maybe my blank look and just handing it over worked with a member of staff who wasnt so au fait with it.
