Rainforest AK question

Can't you enter this restaurant without going into the park? We are thinking of eating there on arrival day when we will not be in a park and I heard the AK location was better than DTD. Also, I heard you can make PS at the AK location and not at DTD. Is this true?

Yes. One entrance is outside the park and one inside.

You can make reservations at the Rainforest Cafe in Downtown Disney. Here is the number you need to call407) 827-8500. I definately recommend reservations even for lunch. We just went there a couple of weeks ago and it was packed for lunch. I hope you have a great time.

The Rainforest Cafe was suggested to us by friends. We went to the downtown one. We waited 2 hours for a table. The porportions were small. It was expensive. The kids chicken was awful, there fries were hard. The animated animals were a hit but we wont go again.

We have gone to both and like AK better. We never made PS at that one. Never waited no more than 10 minutes there. Each time we went (AK) it was not crowed.

pretty well. It was rather expensive, but I will say, that our problem was TO much food! I am always in this weird state of "not quite" hungry when I am on a trip... so I could have stuck with the blue crab dip and been happy.

Kids chicken was good and we love the theme-ing.. especially at AK.. i didnt find much to eat at DTD that I was too impressed with. Why pay in-park prices when you can drive to resturant row and get anything youd ever desire?

Just ate lunch there on Fri. We made PS and thankfully we did. It would of been an hr wait but it was also 1 of the busiest times of the yr.

For the amount of food they served I thought the pricing was right on target.
