Has anyone been to Universal in the rain? Can you still ride or do they shut the attractions down? Would it be better to go somewhere else during the rain and wait until another day for Universal? <IMG SRC="/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif" alt="confused">

Most USF attractions are indoors or under cover. The outdoor rides tend to shut down when lightning is within 5 miles of the park.

I was there on March 4th and it poured for about 6 hours straight. They also had thunderstorms in the area but all the rides continued to run. I was surprised the coasters were still running but I was happy. My advice is get one of the ponchos and just keep right on going. The parks really emptied out and we didn't even have to use FOTL. Whoever says the rain is bad in Washington state has never been in a Florida rain!

I was there on March 4th also, with our yellow ponchos on. I thought that Universal Studios was quite a good place to visit in the rain (we had a great day) as most of the attractions are indoors whereas at Islands of Adventure there are loads outside.
