Rain & Stroller?

Our favorite stroller for Disney is the Maclaren Volo. It has a mesh type seat and if it gets wet, who cares. It dries right away! It's also great when our daughter spills something on it, like ice cream. We just wipe it down or pour some water on it and it is as good as new! We have been through many rainy days at Disney World, and we just put our daughter in the stroller with a poncho on, her waterproof crocs, and sometimes she holds her toddler size tinkerbell umbrella while we push her. We bought a rain cover for our stroller and she was screaming to get out of her stroller with it on. It kind of freaked her out being zipped in like that. You can't go wrong with the Maclaren Volo!
It is the easiest and lightest pushing stroller you can find! A perfect travel stroller for toddlers and preschool age children!!!

I have a rain cover for my jogging stroller and it works wonders! I could never take it to Disney because it is much too heavy, though.

I run in the rain all of the time and DS stays perfectly dry and happy.

I had a double stroller and bought a cover for that one. Since then it has been given away and now I just have a single stroller. Do you think it will fit well? should i bring a bungee strap or something?

So, just so I understand (forgive me), you put the cover on the stroller (like in the picture from the link, ty btw) while the toddler is INSIDE the stroller? This is safe?

:) Yes. I remember thinking "plastic covers?" when I saw them in Ireland, where it rains quite often, having never seen them even in the Seattle area (where it rains quite often)...but they are vented and whatnot, and are safe. :)

I have the graco rain cover for my graco stroller that I bought off of ebay for 1.99 it came in very handy. I pretty much left if on the stroller the only time I took it off was when it wasn't raining and we were sitting on the ground for wishes after it had rained earlier it kept my butt clean and dry.

We have a Graco Quatro Tour, and we spent the extra 16 dollars to get the cover for it. So glad we did. A Hudge rainstorm in the middle of the day and while we had poncho's the only one who was dry was DS in his stroller. Its got to vents on the side that you can roll down for sideways rain and its has a pocket on the back too.
Works better without the baby car seat attached. So glad we got it. We used it more there than at home.

The stroller cover is safe to use with supervision. I would not leave my child under it for long periods of time: a). they wouldn't go for it b). it's too hot in Florida and c). even with the vents it becomes extremely humid inside.

It does help with the short rain bursts that are quite frequent during our trips to WDW.

I have a zooper twist stoller and used the rain shield that came with it. It would've worked out great if only our DS was compliant enough to actually ride contently in the stroller. Instead he screamed as soon as we tried to put him in the stroller and tried to escape from the rain cover as we ran through the monsoon-like storm to take cover(the lightening was way too close for comfort). Thankfully that was the only time it rained during our whole trip.
