We leave for Disneyland on Thursday morning (flying into SNA) and leave Saturday. Just a sweet quick trip--but a big one for us because although we have been to Disneyland many times, we have never been there to see the Xmas decorations.

I check the weather forecast tonight on two different websites, and they say rain on Thursday night, and rain all day Friday! Yikes and double yikes! Say it isn't true!

I am all about loving the rain any other time, but not for our special, much anticipated, Xmas Disney trip!:scared:

My sentiments exactly. I have a tour with Parade viewing booked and premium Fantasmic! seating. If the forecast is right, looks like both events will be canceled. :-( Earlier they were saying sprinkles, now they are saying rain.

Guess we will have to wait and see.

Sending positive vibes....... :santa:

We leave Thursday too, but start in San Diego. We have had a little bad luck back home - so hoping it will change before we get there.

They always say weather reports - you have a 50% chance that they are wrong!

Pray & pray hard!

We'll be there the 7th thru 11th and are also bummed about the possibility of rain. My cousin lives in Fullerton which is pretty close to Anaheim and she said that usually when they predict rain Disneyland gets a lighter dose, and sometimes the rain never comes at all - so I am hoping for that!

This really stinks, I just saw the weather report for rain!!! We are leaving Wed and coming home on Sun. I wonder if I just ignore the weather report it won't really happen??? ;)

A 2-day rain event in SoCal is EXTREMELY rare. Usually, it's a timing issue on the storm, so to cover themselves, the forecasters extend the rain chances across multiple days. They say it's a fairly strong storm, so you can probably expect a good 12-18 hour period of rain or showers. However, I can't tell you the number of times recently where a 'huge storm' totally wimped out and did nothing.

Look on the bright side; if it does rain, most of the locals will stay home and you'll have the park to yourselves. ENJOY!

This is true. I would say 80-90% of the time the rain never comes or is very light. I've lived here my whole life and we go to DL this time of year every year. It has never rained :) It does clear out the locals though (not us!!)

They always overcompensate days because they cannot exactly pin point when it will come. Just look at 3 or 4 different weather sites; They all have somewhat different forecasts.

Even if it does rain hard, you can get on a few rides with no lines, go to your hotel and dry off, then do it all again. That's what we're planning on doing :)

Well guys we just got back last night and it rained on us all day Friday:headache: However; I must say it wasn't all that bad it really kept the crowds away and we rode a bunch. I would just suggest rain gear, I took our kids rain coats but they weren't long enough. Also, take something to put over your stroller and something to put the auto.books in. Luckily I took gallon size Ziplocs and they came in handy.

well normally I would agree with you, but I'm here in No Cal and they are predicting a large storm here on Thursday. My guess is, it's gonna hit here first on Thursday then make it's way to So Cal Friday. Whatever I went to Dollar tree and got cheapo ponchos. Such is life........Beats a day at work.
