I will be in the Orlando area for the next few days. Of course it hasn't rained here in weeks but it's supposed to rain tomorrow night and Tuesday (100% chance). My friend and I REALLY want to see wishes one last time. I've been to Disney many many times so I'm not worried about getting on a ton of stuff. I just can't decide if buying the park ticket is worth it or not for a rainy day Tuesday (or sunny and potential rain tomorrow night). What would you do? (I know we could always be watch from the poly but we want the in park experience). TIA

Wait and see what the weather actually does.

Check the weather radar on-line to see what's likely "coming."

Keep in mind that 100% chance of rain just means that's there's a 100% chance that it will rain at some point in the day, not that it will rain for 100% of the day. As Robo noted, check the hour be hour and radar to get a better idea. It may just be scattered thunderstorms.

And that 100% isn't everywhere either - it could rain at Epcot, but not MK. Heck, it could rain on Seven Seas Lagoon and not on MK (I've had it pour rain in the front yard and be bone dry in the back yard). There are no guarantees when it comes to the weather, but if I had to guess, I would say afternoon and early evening would be the best chance, due to the temps being higher during that time of day and the sea breeze coming into the mix (probably right around 4pm, as that is when I'll be trying to drive home - I hate driving when it hasn't rained for a long time because the roads get so slippery). But there's no way to know for sure until it happens. You just have to weigh how much you want the opportunity to see Wishes, against how disappointed you would be if it doesn't happen once you're in the park. No right or wrong answer. Good luck!

I would be willing to take that 100% at my house for you . . .last forecast I saw was only 40% and that generally means no rain for me. My yard is brown and crisp . . .

Chances of rain are slim. That being said, we need rain desperately. Brush fires dot the state. I understand not wanting rain on your vacation, but consider the bigger picture. If we don't get rain soon, Disney may have to start canceling firework shows. Bring on the rain!!!!

I'd gladly give those of you in Florida some of our rain. We're looking at possible flooding in the St. Louis area. I just looked at the forecast on the weather channel app. Rain on an hourly basis on Tuesday so far and none the rest of the week. But we are talking about weather here which can change very quickly. I'm meeting some friends this year and Tuesday is our first day at WDW. Last year on our first day, it poured so hard there was standing water over my ankles in places. Even with ponchos, we looked like drowned rats. So with my luck, it will pour all day Tuesday. :) For you Floridians, I hope it does.

We just put on our ponchos and go! In 2011 when we went Orlando had a rainy spell-on our Epcot day we got rained on for 12 hours straight, but we had an absolute blast. Disney in the rain is Disney with no crowds.

I agree with everyone saying rain is a great time to get things done - we put on our ponchos and go, too. But it seems like OP is especially concerned with Wishes. OP, if I woke up that morning and they were still calling for it at night, I probably wouldn't take the chance if I were only going to go for the purpose of seeing Wishes. But it's up to you - will you be more mad at yourself if you decide to stay home and it ends up not raining, or if you go to the park and it rains so the show is cancelled?

I think this is the question you should ask yourself! Personally, I would be madder if I didn't try than if I did and it rained.

Latest forecast has the rain stopping before Wishes.

I've been during a night of heavy evening storms and seen basically every firework at Disney go off within 15 mins (Illum was delayed, Wishes either went on time or had the same delay as Illum and DHS went early). We could see that they were all going off from Epcot. The CM I talked to that night said they do everything possible to get the shows off. He also said they are often delayed but rarely cancelled.

DH and I practically sprint to MK anytime that we are in WDW and it is raining, as we know that we can get so much stuff done!

Wishes will still go on in the rain! We've watched it during a downpour on our trip back in September 2016.

If this is your last chance to see it - I'd say, go dance in the puddles and enjoy it!
