I realize its a tropical rain, but how does that effect days at Aulani? What should I pack for those conditions? Thank you in advance!

probably won't actually rain much of your time. Usually it rains more inland and not on the coast. Pack just a light weight rain jacket. Very light weight. You probably won't need much at all.
For instance, at my house right now it's sprinkling. I just came from the pearl harbor area and it's sunny as heck. 2 miles away.

It rained a little bit a couple of the days when we were there in June. We either got in the water so we were already wet or sat under an umbrella. It's not cold, so we didn't pack up for the day...it was quite refreshing. I would be sure to pack shoes that aren't slippery on wet surfaces, falling would ruin a vacation.

A few years ago, it rained all but one day of our trip. On the bright side when that happens, the pool is virtually empty, which I've never understood. You're in the water, so you're wet anyhow, and you leave because it's raining? Anyhow, the pool deck will be clear too. I just grabbed a chair under and umbrella, wrapped a towel around me, and was perfectly content. The downside, the Pau Hana Room will be packed, and the movie on the lawn will be canceled if there is any rain at all falling.

We just got back from 16 days in Hawaii with time spent in Waikiki, Maui, Kauai, and Aulani. It didn't rain once for us. Not sure if we lucked out, if its typical, time of year, etc. There were various days that called for rain and we often watched the news in the morning and they would call for rain, but we never did see it. FWIW, we were usually on the leeward sides and near the coast. Only once did we have a cloud pass over and drop a very light mist type of shower (barely noticeable), and that was it!

so like today was 40% chance of rain forecast. We were at the beach on the west side, past ko'olina. Nothing but bright sun all day. Inland. It was raining.
