I am planning on going to the park on Monday. The weather forecast for the next 10 days is thunderstorms every day, as it was since I started checking a few days ago. When the weather channel says 30% chance of isolated t-storms, what does that REALLY mean for Floridians?

How much of Harry Potter would we miss if it is raining? The admission price for one day is a bit much if it's raining.

During the summer afternoon storms are very very common, but don't let it spoil you day! If the Wizarding World of Harry Potter is a priority then head there in the morning and enjoy yourself. If and when the storm comes, take cover, and once it passes, expect very low crowds! Best time to visit during the summer is right after a downpour lol

The storms are mainly in the afternoons and sorry but we need the rain in the worst way! We've been getting some serious storms later in the afternoons and overnights lately. The admission price is still fair even in the rain. Rain tends to empty a park out for a short while so enjoy the rain...if it comes...it could be said its better when it rains.

The best thing about Florida rain is that it passes. Usually, anyhow. ;) And they're very welcomed after a hot day.

Worst parts are going into an air-conditioned restaurant wet (put a big damper in our Mythos meal as we sat there shivering), and when the outside rides shut down, express pass and single rider for inside rides like Spiderman and Forbidden Journey get really long.

Also, f you're staying onsite, be aware that they may shut down the water taxis. We had to walk (not a big deal, it's short, but with 3 kids we mostly took the boat) once when they shut down due to an electrical storm. The last night we were there, we saw the most amazing lighting storm ever (no rain) and the boats were still running. Go figure. :confused3

Hogwarts castle, in the dark after closing, under amazing bursts of lightning. Holy freaking awesome! Unfortunately we weren't able to catch any decent pictures of it, but there were quite a few people there trying to so hopefully one of them posts here and will share (June 15).

We were there this week; the forcast was rain every day. Never rained a drop.
That's Orlando weather for you. I work downtown and it rained every afternoon this week and I live 20 minutes north of Universal and we had showers most afternoons and evenings.

Just remember...you if don't like the weather, wait 10 minutes or cross the street. Its just a fact of living in Florida.
