Rain gear for Toddler in WDW???

Hi,

I'll be in Disney 1st week in Sept. - notorious for heat and those lovely FL. flash rain storms. I have Disney ponchos for me and DH (from past trips), but am wonderomhg what I should bring for my almost 2 yr old son?

I'm bringing his Maclaren Sports Quest stroller with us and the hood of course is not enough cover. I know they have those plastic stroller covers, but they seem so hot and stiffling to put over the stroller - especially in FL Sept. heat.
Are there rain ponchos small enough for an almost 2 yr old?

Anyone have any suggestions as to what I should carry with me to help keep DS dry if it rains?

We used an adult sized poncho to cover the entire stroller. This way DGD dis not get wet at all. We tucked it under her feet so they stayed dry too.
The extra pocho is nice to cover the stroller if you have to leave it outside for any reason. It is good for 3 things. To keep it dry just in case it rains while you are not there with it, it keeps yor items out of others sight, and it makes it easier to find it.

Thanks - dogodisney! That's a good idea - one of the ponchos we have is bight yellow with Mickey on it - a great way to spot a stroller. I never thought of keeping the stroller dry as we tend to keep hitting thise attractions even when it rains!

Something else I read here somewhere:

someone brough a cheap plastic tablecloth and some clothes pins for those time when the stroller was parked.. It kept the stroller dry, and was easier to spot because of the color or pattern.

We've always used the a poncho for the stroller. Stick kiddos head through the hole, and the back of the poncho will cover the back of the stroller, and the front covers his body.
