What do you bring?

DS has a nice raincoat. It's soft, not vinyl, so it folds up well, but it's lined and it's going to take up some space if I bring it. I will have a stroller for stashing it.

Is a poncho a better choice? If so, where did you get yours? Nothing on Amazon is sticking out.

The kids would stay in the stroller under the rain cover until we reached our ride/next attraction and we had ponchos. No stroller for DD this time so we will get her a cheap poncho.

Mine won't wear any sort of rain gear. If it gets bad they have umbrellas.. Really though we just get a bit damp. Maybe my kids are strange but as long as its not cold they just take the rain gear off.

I bought our ponchos at the Dollar Tree! They worked for us and our 7 and 9 year olds just fine.

I think I posted this in another thread too somewhere, but the best budget-friendly option we found was $4.88 and I found it by the umbrellas section at Walmart. They also had them in the camping section. Way better than the $ store kind, but not nearly as bulky as a regular raincoat. It came in its own drawstring bag for storage and it fits kids from 4-10 yrs old.

It's the one on the right in the image below (taken in Epcot in September when we got caught in some storms near Italy pavillion) - the one on the left is a GAP rain poncho we bought for my oldest DD years ago, so I don't remember how much that cost, but obviously that's held up well too since it's probably 10-12 years old now.

Both of my boys hated ponchos when they were little and the 7 year old still does. I just took their regular rain coats. The were much more comfortable.

We bought the Disney ponchos as hey are heavyweight and work great. Also keep your receipt b/ if it tears they will replace it for free.

Yes! This is what I want. A very thin rain jacket. I do not live near a Walmart though. Will look at Target I guess.
