Rain Forest Cafe?

Yes, but I think you have to call them directly instead of using the regular PS number. You should be able to find the phone number at their website www.rainforestcafe.com . I don't know about whether you can charge it to your room key or not -- sorry!

grimp,
I thought I was the only one out there who had a terrible experience! LOL I replied about Rainforrest on another thread but I can't stop myself from posting again here. We went to the AK one. We were seated within 15 min of our PS on Feb 9. We didn't see a waiter for another 20 min! They seemed to lack servers/help and our lunch then took an hour to come out, and we just ordered apps! The restraunt was half empty but there was still a long line of people waing to be seated. Overall we were there 2 hours. I would not go back, food was ok, good variety but pricey. We didn't make it to desert, we were just to worn out from waiting for lunch! I would rather eat in Epcot at a country for the same money. Sorry all, Just my opinion. Decor was great though go ahead and look around.

This is my daughters favorite restaurant. We took her for the first time when she was 3 at Downtown Disney and she loved it. They have a very good childrens menu - 3 or 4 tiny little hamburgers which are my daughters favorite. They have a good selection of food for adults also and the atmosphere is very exciting.

We visit the Chicago location several times a year and haven't visited any DW locations in a couple of years - I highly recommend this restaurant - sit by the elephants if you can.

Have fun!!!

When we went the atmosphere was great, but the food was subpar. I would like to makybe go in for dessert, but not for the main meal.

So, whenever I think of Rainforest cafe, I think of those cheesey ones in the mall. Right away I did not even consider going to RFC because of what I assume it to be like. So it is not a chain? And I take it it is good food? what quality? burgers and fries? or one up from that?

Rainforest Cafe is a chain (30 some locations in the US), but the one's at WDW are somewhat more elaborate than the mall restaurants (although the one in the mall near us is pretty elaborate).

Personally, have never been because the food quality is not all that great, there are too many other great themed places in WDW and, since we do have one nearby, I can always go there if I really want to visit.

Hi,

Love RFC @ AK!!!! Really neat & good food. Big portions though. Have fun!!!

We ate at the Rainforest Cafe at AK in November. It was a welcome break after touring AK all morning. The atmosphere is great, especially appropriate for AK. We thought the food was good and the portions were huge!

Just back. One day immediately after lunch we ate at the RFC in AK and had a volcano. I have the Safari Club card and we were seated promptly. Our waiter was great. Service was quick. Another day we ate at the RFC at DTD for dinner. If I had not had my Safari Club card, our 15 minute wait would have been an hour and 45 minute wait. The food here was good also but the waitress was not as "nice/friendly/good" as the waiter we had at AK RFC. However, we plan to eat at both places when we return in September. We have always enjoyed eating there.

DJT...I know what you mean about the wait! That's why I LOOOVE the Safari Club!! We got a chicken quesadilla for our free appetizer last time, and it was more than I could eat for my whole meal!

disneyfan, we got a free chicken quesadilla also, PLUS we had a $5.00 off coupon/gift certificate that I received from the Safari Club for my birthday! It's great!

We decided to go to the AKRFC for a quick smoothie/snack, so we didn't stay in there too long. The proximity and our hunger prevailed, otherwise we might've just chosen to spend our money on a Disney restaurant. Although, sometimes I feel that AK doesn't have a whole lot to offer yet in terms of dining experiences.

It was OK - maybe I'm lukewarm because there are lots of RFCs where I live, and wherever I go, so I feel that I can get the food/atmosphere anytime. If there's not one near you, then the kids will probably get a kick out of it.

I want to go RFC AK. But the last time we went in Chicago, all the kids who ate hot dogs got food poisoning. I have tried to tell my son that it probably won't happen again, but he still remembers being sick all night in the hotel:(
