We are going on our 1st trip to Walt Disney World over Christmas through make a wish. I left my daughter pick out where she wanted to eat on the 24th she chose rain forest cafe. Anyone ate there? How are they?:yay:

It's a noisy, vibrant place with a very lively atmosphere. Its is busy, but a nicely themed, pretty setting. My daughter has always loved it. The food is average to good, and the portions are large. Their Pastalaya is one of my favourite Disney meals. One time my extremely picky daughter ordered pizza without cheese and the chef came out to check he had the right intructions. He was SO lovely to her, and her pizza was just how she likes it. He even added a tiny pot of fresh herbs to the centre of the pizza in case she didn't want them!

I know it gets some stick on these sites, but we have had some excellent meals there over the years, and will definately be going next year.

Have a wonderful holiday :yay:

Hmmm, Pastalaya - our favorite too - a must on every trip! Plus, we (2 adults) can share & still have leftover to take to the hotel fridge!

We used to love the Rasta Pasta, but over the years it has gotten terribly inconsistent - sometimes the sauce is good; sometimes not so good. So, we switched to the Pastalaya.

Sorry to hear the Rasta Pasta has become iffy because that was always my favorite, but there are plenty of choices.

I hope your daughter has a great birthday.

:)

RFC is a chain restaurant so their food is pretty consistent as far as quality and taste. It's a cool atmosphere if you've never been, but we have one here in Niagara Falls so I prefer to do restaurants unique to WDW while I'm there.

I've never been very impressed by their dinner menu, so I've avoided the place around those times, especially considering how crazy busy the place can get.

We have eaten at the Animal Kingdom location for breakfast a couple of times, though, and I thought it was surprisingly good. If breakfast is an option, and you're planning an Animal Kingdom day or morning, keep the Rainforest Cafe location there in mind. You get all of the atmosphere at a more peaceful time of day, and in my opinion, a better menu.

Thank You everybody we just got back from our trip and we did enjoy the rain forest cafe. my daughter loved watching the animals move there. We had a great time. :thumbsup2
