Rain Forest Breakfast question

I read a review about Rain Forest for breakfast and have a couple questions. The review said the restaurant is just "outside" animal kingdom. If that is true, then can you go there before AK opens? So how early could we catch the AK bus at CBR to get over to Rain Forest?

Also the review mentioned reservations. Do you know if Disney Dining makes these reservations or do I need to call Rain Forest direct?

I was under the impression that it is not a part of the magic plus dining package. True? I noticed in the review that someone said his meal was included in the premium dining package.

Sorry for the multitude of questions. Thanks for the info.

I don't know the answer to your dining package questions.

I do know, however, that the RFC at AK is open for breakfast. The problem, for us, is that they don't start serving until 8:30am, which is too late to be in and out before the park opens. (I really wish they started serving at 8am, so we could eat there before our AK day and still be out to start touring the park at 9am.)

We have done breakfast a few times there, though, and we enjoy it. We've always been able to make reservations through the WDW Dine number. Just make sure they understand it's the AK location that you want.

We were there in Jan and Rainforest was NOT part of the dining package. The AK rainforrest was the only Rainforest you can make advanced reservations at BUT it had to be done 24 hours in advance.
I don't know how early you can get a bus to it. I imagine if it is open for breakfast you can get a bus over. (we ate dinner there)

We've always been able to make our RFC ressies for the Animal Kingdom location when we made our others. We never have had to wait until 24 hours out. (Although the RFC at Downtown Disney was taking ressies 24 hours in advance at one point. Don't know if that is still the case.) The AK location and DD location have always had totally different policies about reservations.

In fact, we already have a seating for breakfast at the AK RFC in June. Like I said, it isn't the most convenient because they don't start seating until 8:30am, but our little guy loves the RFC and breakfast at the AK location is the cheapest and easiest way to eat there for us.

Thank you for the info. I'll try to get a reservation. Now if the time would hurry up and pass so we can go on vacation!

What do they offer for breakfast? Also, when we ate there for dinner last Dec, there didn't seem to be much of a system for ADRs. Everyone who went to the podium was ushered onto the same line for seating. There was no preference for ADRs or Safari club; walk-ups were put through in the same line. :confused3

According to the menu on allears, they have tonga toast, mexican-style breakfast pizza (which I understand is huge), breakfast sirloin, a warm tortilla wrapped around eggs, peppers, sausage, and sauce. Plus the usual. They have a fruit plate too. Sounds delish. They have a kids menu as well. Also smoothies.

Disney dining said they set reservations, but not til 180 days within the date you are dining there. I wonder why they take reservations, if you just end up standing in line. Hmmmm.

This sounds like a refreshing break from breakfast at the CBR food court.
