If it happened to rain during your cruise, did you find it was still a trip worth taking? Also, has anyone had luck with rain being in the forecast and ending up with a nice day?

Do you find it a cruise worth taking? Of course since it's already paid for

Lots of times it will say rain but only rain for a short time.

Well, there's rain.....and there's rain.

We found it rained some every day on our Caribbean cruises. And it didn't really affect anything.

We had major rain storms (complete with fantastic lightning shows) on our Panama Canal cruise (not on DCL), but they were mostly in the evening/night so it was fascinating watching out the windows at dinnertime.

And then there were the 6 days of unrelenting sleet, rain and wind on our recent Eastbound TransAtlantic cruise. I didn't mind it at all. In fact, I found walking along the passageway and having the deck fall away from my footsteps was kinda fun. But there were people who pretty much just survived the storm by waiting it out in their rooms.

I found all those were still "worth the taking".

In all of our Bahamian and Caribbean cruises, if they had any rain at all, it was isolated and short-lived.

We were rain-delayed once in docking at CC, which shortened our day there, which was kind of a bummer, but we've never had the kind of rain where we said "this trip was a waste of money".

We had a 20% chance forcasted every day on our cruise this week and it never actually rained that I know of. Weather was perfect!

A few years ago it rained for three days. On and off for two but all day while we were at the port of Cozumel. It POURED. The streets were a foot deep in water. BEST DAY OF THE CRUIES! No kidding. I can't explain why it was fun but it was. Maybe because it was different than the usual sun heavy days. We were given rain ponchos as we left the ship to keep us dry but even with the protection we got drenched. Now, having said all that, it is a warm rain, refreshing. It was almost like being a kid again, playing in the puddles. None of the rain bothered us, there is always something to do. Was it still worth it to us? Absolutely however we were on a 14 day b2b. If you were on a 7 day or even a 3/4 you may not feel that way.
And yes, we have had days that were forecast with rain and the rain never showed.

Yes, 30 - 50% chance of rain was forecast for every day of our Fantasy cruise last month, but throughout the whole cruise it only rained once for about 20 minutes.

I had experienced some rain when the ship arrived at Costa Maya and unfortunately my scuba diving port adventure was canceled. This was not due the rain but because of the ocean conditions. The rain didn't last long (half hour or so) but the sea was still a little choppy. I could have gone on another port adventure but I decided to explore on my own and check out the local beaches. I had a great time while I checked out local shops, enjoyed some local food and lots of drinks.

One trip the forecast was for a really rainy day at CC. Even one of the ship's officers I was chatting with was a bit nervous about the forecast. But a beautiful sunrise followed by 95% of our time on the island was perfect. A heavy rain shower followed about 1/2 hour before the all aboard time.

It rained a bit on our CC day back in Nov. To be honest I wouldn't even mention it when talking about our trip. It didn't really impact our day too much. We were sitting on chairs under umbrellas anyway. It rained on and off for about an hour and half. At some points it was pretty heavy, other times just a drizzle. Then the sun came out again and it was beautiful again.
