What do you do when it rains and you have an infant in the stroller? Do you call it a day? How do you cover the stroller from the rain? Where would you go if you knew one day would be a total washout?

We were just there from July 11-18th and we took our double stroller, we have a plastic rain cover that has areas that unsnap to let in air for the children in the stroller yet keeps them dry, we also put it on when it looked like rain and we were going to be in line for a ride or show.

You can find them at stores that sell baby equip, like babies r us.

Hope that helps

We have been stroller-free for almost 3 years :cool1:. When we did have a stroller I purchased a rain cover made specifically for a stroller. I didn't want to do the shower curtain or poncho, like I have seen others do. When it started to rain, I pulled it out, snapped it up and baby was a HAPPY and DRY baby :thumbsup2

I have used my cover numerous times. On several occasions, we would go see a show and put the cover on and come back outside and discover that it was raining. The majority of the strollers were soaked except for mine , which had the rain cover on.

Looking back, I feel it was a wise investment on my part.

Now, if i knew that a day was going to be filled with rain, I would:
1. spend it in the MK if it was a normal rainy day because there are a lot of rides/shows which are under cover.
2. go to a mall if the rain was going to be like a TS

Hope this helps :flower3:

When we there in June, a lot of people put the rain ponchos over the stroller.
Also, some were just the $ store inexpensive throw away type.

I too picked up a rain cover from Babies R Us. We carted it around all week, and the one night I forgot it in the room...it rained. I tried the poncho, but I was afraid DD was going to suffocate in the stroller, so I popped a hole out in the middle (and of course, that rendered the rain proof qualities somewhat....useless). I don't know why I was so worried about it, it's not like it was air tight. I have to explanation. :confused3 Dumb mommy moment.

We had the rain cover that came with our Maclaren Volo. As far as where to go in a total washout...I would probably go back to the DTD area (DisneyQuest and plenty of shops/restaurants to stay dry in)!

I use a Maclaren in the park but the rain cover that comes with it only covers the front. If we are expecting light rain I bring that one. If we are expecting much heavier rain I bring a cover I got from Babies R Us that covers the entire stroller.

Get the cover from babies r us, I had it on the stroller just sorta rolled up so I could just pull it open quick if i needed it, also one night it rained when we were in coral reef, I had our stroller covered so we were ok, but I saw quite a few upset parents come out to find a soaked stroller! Have fun!
