rain and sail away party

what do they do if it is raining/thundering when its time for the sail away party?

I've been on two cruises and on one of them it was raining heavily when we sailed away. They had the bon voyage party in the lobby. It was great and everyone had a ball. There were waiters walking around with frozen drinks to purchase too.

As the PP noted, in the event of inclement weather they move the sail away party inside the atrium for the safety of the performers and the comfort of the passengers.

Twice at our sail away parties there has been a light rain and we still had the party on deck. Guess it depends on the severity of the weather

We had light rain on one cruise for Sailing Away and it remained outside. I'm assuming if it's heavy rain it goes inside. Either way is a blast!

Light rain with no lightning they stay outdoors, but if there is lightning within a 5 mile radius they will take it inside.
