We plan to go to Raglan Road on our trip in November. Do you need to make reservations here or can you walk in and get a table? If I need to make reservations can I do so through WDW DINE ???

We went there twice last month. For our Sunday 5:30 ADR, the place was pretty much empty when we arrived yet was beginning to fill up pretty quickly by the time we left. When we arrived for our Tuesday 8:45 ADR, every table was taken with quite a few waiting to be seated.

Yes, you can make a ressie through WDW DINE. However, a ressie for RR must be made 180 days from the actual day you want to go-they do not participate in the 180+10 thingie.

Well midweek we had no difficulty getting a table although you could either reserve in advance or take a bleeper if you're wandering around DTD.

Just remember that the beepers only work if you stay very close to the restaurant. :upsidedow

I've no idea how it is different, just that it is. I know that we salt our butter and it tastes completely different to butter in every other country I've been in. Must be something to do with the cows!

I am wondering if we should change our ressie time. We are booked for 7:30. I wonder if that will finish us up just as the fun is starting. It is just DH and I. Do you think we should try to move our ADR back to 8 or 8:30? About how long does a meal take there?

We salt our butter to preserve it - light salting does remarkably well to prevent butter from turning rancid, which can happen quickly and easily if exposed to air. You can still buy unsalted butter though.

I don't know if the irish butter is all that significantly different otherwise. I think you can even get Kerrygold in the supermarket here - however like a lot of things it may not be quite the same as the real thing in Ireland - U.S. FDA regs can force changes.

We ate at Raglan Road last month, and I hope to be able to walk in sometime during our December trip (can't really nail down an ADR) and hopefully take in more of the band (only stayed for two songs, and I was behind the post to the left of the stage :( )

I'm also Irish, if the name doesn't give it away (DM was from Dublin, 4th gen on my dad's side), but never had much Irish food growing up (I think DM was sick of it). I've found typical bangers served here to be bland - but RR describes theirs as "gourmet". Has anyone tried them out? How are they?

I had the Heavenly Ham, and while it looked dry, it was great...

Well after reading all these great reviews, I called and made adr for dec, I needed one more adr and this just sounds perfect. Can not wait till dec:banana:

We found it to be a very relaxing meal-not rushed in the least. We were able to set our own pace. Yet since you definitely want to be there when the entertainment is in full swing, I would try for a later ADR. JMHO! :upsidedow

You can also always go back for drinks later that night or another night of your vacation. We have it planned to go to Raglan at least 3 times in our trip but only once for dinner! We are staying in SSR so it's only a walk over... can't wait for my Guinness :drinking1

We had ADRs for 8pm, and were there a little early and got seated right away. Including dessert, we were done right at 9pm, but loitered for a couple songs. There were plenty of seats still at the bar, so we could have gone there, but we wanted to also stop at the Adventurer's Club as well.

I'd definitely try for 8:30pm.
